I bought a new one this year so I need to assemble it to make sure nothing is missing and it looks like the one on display in the shop.
BUT...a little bit of me is superstitious about it too.
I've had a crappy year and I just don't want to chance it.

Might assemble it in the garden tomorrow though, just not in the house.

Probably 6 or 7 December. Before the beginning of December and the novelty would wear off, too early for me!

Buy a $10 4ft one from Kmart with some $4 decos, that way if the cats destroy it it's not so bad n.n

It depends when I see the *right* tree.

The trees, they speak to me, and I always know when I've spotted *the one*

What's the superstition behind not putting the tree up before December? I have never heard it before.
Our tree goes up first weekend in December. If it's up any earlier I get tired of putting all the decs back on yet again.

A week before "Christmas" then take it down as soon as possible.
