    Hugs I understand.
My dd suffers severe anxiety. It's so hard. We live in different states and it so freaking hard knowing there is no one there when she needs. If you live near me I am happy to come sit with you if need someone to be there.

It doesn't sound silly at all and just because you're a grown woman it doesn't mean you aren't allowed to feel freaked out anxious... Anxiety is an awful horrible thing to have, especially when you're feeling alone. Hugest hugs

I am wondering what on earth a potato cake or potato scallop is and why I haven't heard of this thing considering I am the world's most prolific consumer of potato...

A potato scallop is a thick slice of potato battered and deep fried. Maybe it's one of those polony / Devon / berlina things where it's called something different in different states?

@harvs you have to get on that potato cake / scallop train! These perfect circles of deep fried goodness have gotten me through many a hangover. Especially the day after the night before when I've got no money except some loose change left over from drinks!

You mean a hash brown? Or different?

ETA must be different because it's not grated.

WHY HAVEN'T I HEARD OF THIS BEFORE?

Yep definitely different. More salty than a hash brown. They sell them at every fish and chip shop in NSW - what's going on in SA?!

ETA - seems they're called potato cakes, maybe you just don't frequent enough takeaway shops (or is it a milk bar? Deli?) http://m.heraldsun.com.au/leader/wes...a9b1e780963880
