Sad for dh. We had half reasonable crops ready to harvest but we've had 12mm of rain overnight. It will now be 3-4 days before we can start again with more rain predicted at the end of the week. At this stage all the rain is doing is ruining the quality of the grain.

Feeling guilty. Had a go at hubby last night for drinking the last soft drink. There were two and he had his at lunch yesterday and I was saving mine for after dinner. Or so I thought.

Found the unopened can next to the couch. I must have grabbed it to have with afternoon tea and completely forgot about it.

    Oops

I am so over the moon with d's1 reaction to His birthday present. It so hard to buy for teenage boys. I will be paying off for 2 years but it so worth it. It hasn't left his hand since he got it.

You go with what YOU want and feel. Yes people are quick to offer opinions and advice but when all is said and done, you are the one who has to live with your decisions. Follow your heart and convictions. Nobody can make life choices for you.

I am so sad. Devastated. Scared.
My beautiful godfather saw his doctor for a niggling cough and in a matter of days is now in palliative care, having found out he has lung cancer which has now spread to his bones. How can this be?? He is the most generous, loving man who treated me like his own daughter. He was fine last week, working full time, newlywed...now he'll never go home, never laugh again, never look forward to a new day, never experience hope or excitement or anything but dread and fear as he waits to die. How can such a vibrant, intelligent and funny Scotsman, who loved me like a father, cease to exist?
When I was a young girl I went to spend the holidays with him and his family and the day I arrived was the first sunny day in ages and he said "you bring the weather with you". And today I awoke to the terrible news and it's storming and dark here; how apt.

Oh my goodness, I have tears in my eyes reading that. What a terribly sad situation. Hugs @Marigold
