Thanks Kay2015. My test is next Wednesday 11 Feb.

My original email was responded by Dr Matabese but I really wanted Dr Le Roux, so asked my donor agency to do the introductions to him. I believe others here have been in the same position. We really loved Dr Le Roux he is a very nice and gentle man.

AFM we were emailed today to advise we have four frosties, based on yesterday we thought definitely one and maybe three but four is great!! Things are all heading in the right direction for us now

Kay - I had a similar experience as PinkSS.
Dr Matabese and Dr Heylen both responded to my initial enquiry but I was set on getting Dr Le Roux after a recommendation from another Bubhubber.
The clinic didn't seem to mind that I requested a particular one (or at least never said anything)..
I did have a minor dealing with Dr Heylen on our previous visit as Dr Le Roux was away after our Tx. While he was professional I did find Dr Le Roux more personable.

AFM - EPU tomorrow morning ! 🙏 the extra time stimming hasn't burnt our donor out. Will also be interested to see DH's results as he hasn't been sticking to his plan very well. The safety net of course is that we have told Dr LR that if his 'contribution' is rubbish we are happy for them to do full double donor...

    Good luck everyone.

For the record Dr Matabese is a warm, funny, extremely gentle lady. I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone.

Reading along and wishing you all the very best, Feb is looking like a great month for everyone with super results to date...fingers crossed for lots of BFPS's in the coming weeks.

Pinkss - feb 11 is my birthday (not that I want anymore) though feel it's going to be a great test day for you

We also heard back from a couple of Dr's but chose Dr LR and was super happy with him. Hubby said he has been one of the best Dr's we have seen in our whole fertility journey.

emski, was it you who mentioned pregnancy induced carpal tunnel syndrome continuing for awhile post delivery? I Will be 6 weeks post on Friday and have healed great except I've still got very painful hands and still numb and pins and needles in thumbs and first two fingers. My Dr said it should ease around 6 weeks but so far it doesn't seem to be letting up and I'm really over it. Thinking of booking some acupuncture but anyone else suffered this and can advise a good solution/advice?

    xx

Kay2015, I was with Dr Wiswedel. He was great. He even rang me personally to discuss donors early on when we were having issues finding a suitable donor. He has a bit of a dry sense of humour and in person it's sometimes a bit hard to know how to take him! I have no complaints though as I came home from SA pregnant :-).

Dr Matabese did my intralipid and she seemed lovely. Very personable.

Good luck to all the Feb ladies. It's great to have some action!

Looking forward to hearing how many fertilize, as it sounds like you will end up with some good strong embies.Faith - fingers crossed for Friday's EPU!AFM, I've just been in touch with CFC to start the ball rolling, and for some reason I got a response from BOTH Dr. Wiswedel and Dr. Matabese. I think they responded simultaneously so didn't realize that I was getting 2 points of contact. I now feel in the position to choose between the 2, and wondered if you ladies have any experiences of them? I have heard positive reports regarding Matabese, but so far haven't seen anyone who worked with Wiswedel.Any thoughts? Otherwise I may just leave it up to CFC and respond to both, and they can choose who they think is right for me.Kay
    Hi Kay

I was with Dr W and I cannot fault him...brilliant.

Our experience was: DP and I separately looked at the doctor profiles on the website and then we both revealed our preference of doctor...it worked out that both of us chose Dr W. I then sent an email through their generic email and I heard back from Dr W and then Dr LR. So we went with Dr W. I found that contact with Dr W was brilliant and also his IVF Coordintor, Cyndi....there was only a couple of times that communication seemed to be a bit slow, but the whole clinic is really busy and I sometimes had to remind myself that they are 8 hours behind. I did notice that Dr W sits on his computer quite a bit out of working hours, hence great communication with him. Yes, he can be a bit dry, but we found that if you take the time to have a rapport with him, he is also very friendly and funny. However, at the end of the day, you are there for a reason. Good luck with your choice.

PinkSS - Congrats on 4 frosties.

Feather - 3 months already...time goes so quick.

Emski - I love the photo!!
