Devaki – I am sorry I don’t have an answer for you, and so sorry you’re going through this . I hope you get the answers you need. Have you tried emailing your doc at CFC, am sure they will give a more accurate reply.

Blinky – So happy you arrived safely. Good luck with your appointment tomorrow.

GFS: Congratulations on the birth of your twin girls. It has always been my dream to have twins. I have twin nephews and they are just adorable.

KMP: Great news about your repeat blood test.

Sunny: Thanks for sharing your photo Jesse is super cute.

Sunflower: Congratulations that your boys are now home with you. It must be very tiring but exciting at the same time.

AFM: I am down to four donors also. I am just waiting on a little bit more information. Cyndi from CFC has been a big help. Whoever I saw that mentioned earlier about double checking information about a donor with CFC was great advice as I found a little discrepancy in information I had received. I would be hoping to go over sometime in April if possible.

For the ladies with natural killer cells I am a little worried as I don’t know if Dr W has any protocol for killer cells. With my FS here all we’ve done in the past is use prednisolone and clexane so hoping that will be enough as none of my FS have done intrillipids before.

Sorry to anyone else I’ve missed. Good luck to all the ladies heading to CT soon.
Lisa, i have a few immune issues. CFC wont treat them so stick with your FS in Aus. In saying that I emailed CFC to book in intrilipids while I'm over there, which t b ey did without question.
I suggest stick to your Aus immune protocol and book in for intrilipids with CFC, it cant hurt to have all bases covered. Ask for it to be done 5-7 days before transfer if possible.

AFM, leaving my resort today and will be in Cape Town tonight. I'm so relaxed and not 1 stress in the world. I guess it will be back to reality tomorrow when I have my first appointment.

Blinky, I may see you in the waiting room...short tub with brown hair 😊

Goodluck to all thw other Feb girls getting ready to leave 👋

They do intro plaids Lisa - just ask your local FS for prednisolone/clexane etc. that's how I did it.

Devaki - I have been emailing my egg donor coordinator as to what is happening to with me. As others have suggested I would contact CFC and let them know what is going on.

Miss Sagi - Good Luck with your appointment

Blinky - Good to hear you have arrived safely

AFM - I saw the travel doctor on Saturday. Just a warning that if you plan to travel before going to Cape Town avoid any malaria areas. Pregnancy & malaria are a dangerous mix and the Dr scared me a bit. I am going to Victoria Falls for 4 days and this is a known malaria area. I am taking maximum precautions including malaria meds safe for pregnancy, repellant & keeping indoors between dusk and dawn.

I got my period Sunday and got my Dad to give me the depot injection as I was visiting the beach house for the long weekend. I used the long needle as it needed to get through the fat in my buttock. I wasn't too bad, I just couldn't give it to myself. I start my pills tomorrow.

I am flying out next Thursday and I am going Melb - Perth - Johannesburg & then Cape Town after a detour to Vic Falls. It was the cheapest and shortest flying time I could get. Still doing some last min organising like getting USD for my Vic Falls stay.

    Hi Annabelle good luck.

Just make sure they don't give you old US notes as they won't take them in Africa. I had an issue once in Rwanda and Congo...... plenty of money but old notes. Lucky there were some US citizens to swap money with.

    Hi KMP,

Thanks for the tip. I have ordered the cash into my bank so if its not good enough I will just reject it i guess and ask for replacement notes.

Yes Annabelle but if you look it up, in Africa notes need to be after a certain year as too easy to counterfeit older notes.

Lisa - I agree with Miss Sagi and Emski...book your Intilipids with CFC and double check that it has been booked in. This includes any changes to your ET date, recheck any date changes for your Intrilipid and get them to confirm its booking. I had mine booked in for 5 days prior to ET, however, I had my ET date change to 3 days later and my Intrilipid was not rescheduled, therefore my Intrilipid was put in 3 days prior to ET....if it is not booked in with the "recovery" section and it is full with patients, you cant get in for the procedure (which was my experience). It is also recommended that another Intrilipid be done ?4-6 weeks following a positive result. This was a problem for me, as I am in a regional town and the procedure was not offered at any clinic. The closest was a 2 hour flight away.

KMP - Interesting information regarding old US notes...I didn't know that. Thanks for the tip.

Annabelle - Oh my gosh, you will be there before you know it.

Miss Sagi - Good luck for your appointment tomorrow. Im so excited for you. Keep up that relaxed feeling....perfect.

EmmaJane how fantastic that you've gotten your donor locked in.

GirlFromSydney - a belated congratulations on the birth of your twins. I hope all is going well.

Sunny - thank you for sharing the photo of your little man and your words of encouragement.

Miss Sagi, how are things going along for you? Your photo at Ivory Tree Game Lodge looked awful I don't know how you could stand being there ;-) good luck with your appointment.

PinkShootingStar - I hope you got to Sanbona in the end and that it wasn't too stressful.

Devaki - thanks for mentioning your hysteroscopy.. did you also have a lining scratch and biopsy to test for NK cells.. I'm thinking not, but wasn't sure.
I also read your further update - these things can be so stressful, I hope you've managed to get some reassurance. At the moment we are about 6 weeks from going and still can't book flights because I don't know what my cycle will do it's a bit irregular.. a couple more weeks and we should be right to book though.. but it does add an extra layer of worry that you really don't need.

Blinky all the very very best to you. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Good luck ladies, trying to send lots of positive vibes over to South Africa for you. x
