KMP - Congrats strong HCG - excellent numbers!
Just wanted to share that we are now officially "Donor Chosen".
KMP: Congratulations on your HCG numbers, sounds great!
DJ: Well done on choosing a donor. I think that was the hardest part for me. For what it's worth, our donor turned 29 when we were in CT and had cycled more than once before with positive results. Unfortunately, we were her least successful cycle in terms of eggs which made for some stressful moments but as we all know, it just takes one...and we were lucky enough to get a positive result.
Crabby: I went to my GP prior to going to CT and she was able to write the scripts for everything I needed. I did have to go with the daily Lucrin injection instead of the Synarel sniffing spray because she wasn't allowed to prescribe the latter but that worked out for the best in the end because I didn't find the injection a problem at all. She was also able to prescribe the estradiol (brand name Progynova) easily as well which was quite cheap. In fact, I picked some more up in CT and didn't do the maths properly and now have two boxes spare (which I don't think I'll need).
One tip re the Gestone, I hesitated about tempting fate by picking up all the drugs I'd need in CT in case I got a positive, but I'm really glad I did as I think Gestone is quite hard to get hold of (or not available?) in Australia. I figured that if I did get a negative, then I'd have them for my next go. I was dreading those injections but they weren't too bad, in the end. My tip would be to numb the area with a mini ice pack before you inject, we did it once without and that was the only time it really hurt!
Blinky and Miss Sagi: Good luck with your last minute preps, not long to go now!
And hi to all the other February ladies and those planning their trips.
AFM: We have our 13 week scan on Friday, wish us luck! We got the results from our NIPT test back yesterday and everything was normal which was a relief. And we also found out that I'll need to start liking pink a bit more...
