    Hi ladies,
Sorry another donor question, still having difficulty finding one that is based in CT. Did any of you pay travel costs for your donor to go to CT. I definitely don't want to go to another clinic. I was just wondering if this sort of thing is done a lot.

Hi Lisaxxx - our Donor lives in Port Elizabeth and we paid for her to donate in CT as she was our favourite by far. We didn't have problems with that, and I think it cost around $1000 extra. Considering we were already paying $15000 for the trip, we thought we might as well have our no. 1 choice if we could.
Good luck with your decision. Xx

Hi Lisa - our donor went to CT for her psychological and physical tests before the cycle started and then came down again for the actual cycle. I'm not sure how early she arrived before egg collection, however we saw Dr W 4 days before collection and he said that he had seen her that morning.
We were a bit worried that the traveling etc might upset her cycling but she gave us 18 eggs so I'm sure it didn't!

    Hi ladies

I paid travel for my donor but did not find out where she was from. Sorry I really didn't interfere too much. I wasn't sure what I could or could not ask.

AFM....... peed on a stick and its an immediate BFP 7dp 5dt. All the mocktails have been doing my head in but now I can be happy.

That is great news KMP congratulations. This thread certainly gives me hope for when I go. When do you go for your blood test?
