Thanks Faith and Blinky... I need to make some changes to my IVF pathway... definitely unable to go in March now basically due to short time frames, staff being away at the clinic, no preparation for my cycle following my leukaemia remission. Klaus not back till mid Feb and of course email responses (or lack of!!!!!) Grrrrrrr!!!

Emski - congrats on the birth of Edie. Wonderful news!

No, it's definitely not Carpal Tunnel. It's tendonitis and brought on by me constantly carrying him in his capsule slung over my arm (then switching arms) when he was a newborn. He's so big - in the 97th percentile for height and weight (nearly 11kgs already) so he's going to be well over 6ft according to our Paediatrician.

On the cortisone injections... be very careful, especially if you are trying to conceive again as they stopped my periods for over 2 months! This is a common side effect of cortisone which my GP had not told me about. The cortisone stops the pain, but if you are still lifting heavy things the damage is still being done without you being aware of it. I'm now just having acupuncture and wearing the splints on each arm. Ugly, but the most amazing support and they are getting better. My left arm is almost normal - it's my right one that's killing me.

No, I'm not breast feeding any more as he weaned himself around 6 months - once he tried solids, there was no turning back LOL!!

I've decided to not go back to work now. Loving being a full time Mum so much. The 8 weeks holidays with our 13 year old and Ben have just been so special. They have bonded in this time like I never imagined possible.

Lots of love to you and all the bubhubbers.

    RB xxxxx

Apparently the Tendonitis doesn't resolve after birth but gets worse, Edie is now 9 weeks and I'm still in pain. I'm waiting to get my period to cycle again and had booked in for a cortisone injection on Thurs! I'm also booked in for dry needling at my osteo on Thurs so might just try that first... It is the worst pain, I have it in both hands too and after almost 10 months of it I'm really over it. Are you still breastfeeding? I heard it's supposed to get better after ceasing that. I stopped fully about a week ago.

Hoping4Best - I am happy to let you know about my hysteroscopy, once done and covered from the daze i'll post about my experience next week.

Blinky76 and Annabelle1 - re meet up in CT.

Blinky you proposed 9th, we have our first appointment on the 9th and the time is not fixed either so it would be hard to say if that day suits or what time. Do you have a local mobile there? We will, but nr will be confirmed once we arrive of course, so I can let you guys know around 4-5 Feb time.
Annabelle, you arrive on the 10th, lets liaise via phone too if possible re meet up. We will be staying in Medindi Manor in Rosebank from 8-20.Feb but we'll have a hire car to get around so shouldn't be difficult to travel around.
On the 8th we transfer from Stellenboch to Medindi so we might cross on the highway with you Blinky
