Thanks for that KLM. We stayed at the vineyard last time but I can't justify the cost for just me. I was actually thinking of doing a room in a house via air bnb just to have some company...or maybe that's a mad idea. Did anyone in here end up staying at Molteno Cottage...? I think that would be my other choice. It's hard when you're by yourself!

Yes that one looks really nice too, and bonus its so close to the clinic. Cheap too.
If only we were going at the same time, we could share a place! lol.

Good on you for going back for the next one!

This is the one I am staying at this time around. Looks fine for just me.

This is the previous one we stayed in and just loved. Highly recommend to any of you ladies going over with your hubbies and families. Its a 2 bedroom place.

Emski: We stayed at Molteno for our first week and loved it. Gorgeous property, walking distance to CFC and Cavendish Square and I also loved that the lovely owners were right next door if you needed them, but left you to your own devices if that's what you preferred. However, the property was on the market when we were there in November, so not sure how much longer the cottage will be available to rent (although I guess the new owners might continue to rent out the cottage?)

KMP: Fingers crossed for a five day transfer. Hope you're enjoying CT.

Hello to everyone else. Will post more soon but am struggling with early pregnancy exhaustion at the mo and am way past my new bedtime!

Getting excited about the February crew going over, though, not long now!

    Hey Emski,
    I have done x3 trips.
    1st with DH BFP m/c @ 11 weeks stayed various places/hotels etc..
then 2nd trip by myself did FET biochem
stayed at Playdells in Kenilworth, ( like Molttenos, I tried for there but was booked) walking distance to clinic, self contained, next to family home.
3rd trip FET now 32 weeks pregnant
I stayed at The Quadrant which is just opposite the clinic, above that lovely cafe.
i booked it through bookings on line but Dr Le Roux's wife has an apartment in The Quadrant that they rent out, reasonable price less than $100 a night from memory maybe worth checking out as close to clinic, especially if you are going in every day for the Gestone injections.
Let me know if you want more info.
    Lx

No nothing different except to get more tests/scans done to check all is ok in there. Which it is.
My FS didn't recommend the immune stuff saying it wasn't proven, etc although so many others on here swear by it.
They are just going to keep thawing till they get the best two. I think I have about 8 or 10 to play with.

I haven't been on here in a long time and I just wanted to to touch base and say hello and give a big hug and thank you to all the wonderful ladies who helped me on my path to motherhood.

After many failed IVF attempts in Australia, I went to Capetown Fertility Clinic in SA 2013. I was incredibly blessed to have become pregnant using ED. My trip was an incredible experience all-round. I remember thinking even if this is not successful I have had a wonderful holiday and it has been a life changing adventure. 1.5 years later, my little girl is now 10 months old and is just the most adorable and sweet natured little angel. She has changed my world immeasurably for the better and I love her to bits! Every day I think how lucky I am.

I wish all those who are thinking about going down the egg donation route, those in the middle of it all and those waiting for their BFP's much baby dust and the best of luck.

    Love to you all

    Hi all

So much chatter about accommodation. Today I used Uber to get to Stellenbosch from Newlands and it was about $30. It was the first time I've used Uber and it was fantastic. As I said Park Inn transfers are free.

    Embryo results are 5 x 8c and 2 x 3c so 5 good options.

Transfer will be Saturday morning so I have my fingers crossed.

Thanks for all the lovely support.
