Hi everyone. I hope you've all had a good Christmas? I've been absent for a while as we sadly had a death in the family so it's taken a while to regroup. But here I am and it's time for a bit of a catchup.

Patsy73 - so glad your pregnancy is progressing along well for you.

Mardi - I will be keeping everything crossed for you this afternoon.

Crabby & Devaki - welcome to the forum. I hope your planning is progressing well.

Myheart - everything sounds really positive for you. keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Miss Sagi & Blinky - not long now for you, very exciting.

DJ - what truly fantastic news. I am very happy for you and so pleased you have the chance to try again.

MCG - a massive congrats to you too. What an awesome story.

Chillout - I think the journey of getting our DHs acceptance of donor eggs is probably different. Mine was reluctant to start with then a family member offered to donate so we had to talk about that and I guess that helped to put his mind in that space. We also knew my eggs were absolutely not an option - so there was no doubt or hesitation in that regard. That donation option later fell through and I started to look at donor options overseas myself and then gradually introduced the concept. Like Faith said, I just reassured him I was absolutely fine with it (I'd be happy to adopt if it wasn't near impossible). Can you just explain to him how important it is for you to be able to talk to him and explore the option - it's hard but great that you can understand why he maybe feels how he does.

Blinky - I get what you mean about announcements cutting. We'd like so much to have our own announcement and while happy for people it's often tinged with other emotions.

KMP - Bali sounds terrible ;-). All the best for your trip.

Emski - how have you gone figuring out the gradings of your frosties? We have 3 and I had similar concerns.

CAmom - glad to hear things are going well for you. At the 12 week point - fantastic.

Sunflower - congratulations on the birth of your babies - how wonderful.
January - congratulations to you as well.

AFM - after the stress and sadness of the last couple of weeks I plan from tomorrow to start being particularly healthy with diet, exercise etc. to ensure I'm in the best shape for our trip and hopefully transfer (I hope at least 1 of our frosties will survive the thaw but it will be a constant worry - I wouldn't want to have nothing to worry about now would I).
We have some decision making to do too. We have to go to Joburg for our transfer and need to work out if we head to Cape Town or just go to Joburg and come back. Ideally we'd like to go to Cape Town first - but I would need to be able to have a scan there so I'm trying to find out from the Joburg clinic if I can do that.
By the end of next week we will know if we go late February or late march. I also have to organise the hysteroscopy - which I'm a bit nervous about.

Hi to everyone else and hope you're all well

Em - I know it has gone bloody fast! We started our first baby project this week as we are both on hols -sanding and re-painting a tall boy for him/her. We painted it white with green knobs. So hard to know what colour when you don't find out gender. Everything else is white - cot, change table etc so figure it will be fine. I guess green, yellow, red will have to do for other things in the nursery.

Mardi - I hope you get good news today. Carpel tunnel issue sounds promising. Hang in there.......

Good luck today Mardi.... So stressful.
Hoping4best I just asked Dr Le Roux for his honest opinion, if they were worth using he said we'd be in with a good chance, so that's what we'll do.
    Em x

Well happy new year to you! That's brilliant news! Congratulations Mardi. Such a positive start to the thread for the year!
KMP time will fly once you're there. Have a brilliant flight over - I'm already in planning mode looking at accommodation and flights. I always need a project ☺

I get off THE most stressful flight I've ever done (turbulence put the wind up me just a tad), to read the most awesome, wonderful posts.

Mardi WOW 140bpm and perfect size. Happy New Year to you!

Painting (sorry my phone won't let me go back), positivity, wonderful news all round the last couple days. Ahhhh deep breath. I should get another update today. My friend will meet me at the airport in Cape Town so that's pretty special. She'll also take me to my appointment on Friday. Happy New Year!!!! 2015 here we come with loads of baby dust.
