Kmp... They are day 5 so I'd like to think quite viable but who knows. It would certainly be more affordable to do a fet with just me going over in May than a whole new cycle. Our donor is also currently pregnant so we could be waiting quite a while (if indeed she agrees to donate again) ... - thanks mrserinr, I did look at that but can't work out where our B2 one would stand against that grading system. I sent Kimenthra an email, but I'm impatient 😁 might ask Dr Le Rock too.

I think the B just stands for blastocyst. And the 2 indicates one of those gradings listed by numbers. It's a bit weird though as ours were described like B3-AA so it covered all the categories listed in their PDF. I'm guessing they wouldn't freeze them if they didn't think they were viable. It will be interesting to hear what feedback you get from Kimenthra or Dr LR

Em - it's great that you are scheduling for May...when Monas are back from leave maybe you could call one of the scientists as they may know what that stands for...

AFM - got my beta / hcg levels - 482 and progesterone is 73... so now the dreaded wait to Wednesday to see if the levels are doing what they should...

    Hi all
Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I have been reading and keeping up with your posts. Hope everyone’s ok and all had a great Xmas.
Welcome to all the wonderful new ladies, you will find loads of support and advise here.
DJ – I wish I could post sooner… I was so happy and relieved when I read your news. I pray 2015 brings you your baby.

Mardi - How are you doing?

MCG – Congrats on your BFP, what a great Xmas present. Enjoy your pregnancy.
Chillout71 - Welcome to the group. We are the same age am 43.5, and regarding your question on moving to DE..For us, after several tries, the last one this last August was a BFP and we lost the pg at 7w5d. It was really hard for us, and especially being my first uterine pg (after several ectopics). I had been warned about egg quality at my age, and I tried 2 times after that. But after this loss, it was time to be realistic about what was possible and what was stretching it.I was honest with my DH and explained how I felt… that our chances were really slim with my eggs, I couldn’t handle doing another cycle that I felt would lead to a loss. I also told him that I had accepted that my eggs weren’t viable and that I was emotionally ready to move to DE. He needed a while to think it over, and then he told me that as long as I was fine with it, then we could try. I feel sometimes our DH’s maybe concerned about our feelings re using DE, and will not want to be the first to suggest. But, maybe, if he knows you are emotionally ready to move to DE, he will be happy to move on too. Good luck with your plans.
Myheart – Congrats on your BFP. 482 is a great number!!!
Blinky – So sorry you’re having such a hard time. Hope you’re feeling better. Did you manage to get the AF issue sorted? I keep checking and hoping my AF doesn’t show her ugly head. Like you, I am also on the pill and stop on 12 Jan. Holiday season is hard for us who are still waiting for that precious gift of motherhood, especially at family gatherings where most have their kids around. Hopefully our dreams will come true next year.

I am wishing you all the best and your various stages.

My apologies to anyone that I've left out.

AFM – Gladly taking the pill. I stop on the 12th of Jan so looking forward to the next step.

We have had a few unsuccessful ivf with pgd attempts; I'm 43.5 now and I have come to the acceptance it won't happen for us so hence DE is an option I'd like us to seriously consider, but my DH is really reluctant to talk about it until we have implanted our two remaining untested embryos... But I am really struggling with not talking about our plan B, even if that is that we decide not to pursue DEs... My FS says that many men can only move onto another option once all else has been fully exhausted. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice to share??
Chillout, my DH also couldn't really process the idea of DE before we had used up our last frostie, so that's what we did. The FS was suggesting we try one more stim after that but I really didn't want to waste any more time with my own eggs. My DH didn't want to talk about plan b until after that too, so I can empathize!

I actually put together a little presentation that showed our odds of success with OE and DE. My DH responds to stats/facts and he really was a bit naive about how slim our OE chances were. I also wrote down the pros and cons and we put aside some time to discuss them. For me, I wanted to have more than one child and I couldn't see that happening with my eggs. That turned out to be important to DH too.

Just now, I asked DH what the clincher was for him and he said it was coming to a real understanding that time wasn't on our side and having lost 2 pregnancies he didn't want me (or us) to go through that again.
