Thank you everyone for your kind words and thoughts. Its so wonderful to have you all out there to support when so desperately needed. Especially as we have only told 2 people about our journey.
What a difference a phonecall can make...
My FS just rang to say what wonderful news it was to get a BFP and give me my due date and chat about my time in SA. He is not the slightest bit worried about the HCG number, and says its good considering how early we tested compared to in Aust.
So a huge phewph from myself and Konza! How weird to go from complete misery to happiness in the space of 5 minutes!!!
I'm still going to leave the cute BFP sign til after my test tomorrow, but feeling heaps and heaps better! xxx

Mardi & Konza - what an up and down (and up) road this journey can be. Glad to hear you have been given such reassuring news from your FS! How nice of your FS to call you personally after such a traumatic 24 hours. Congrats on your BFP!

KMP - the EDA forum on FB can be a toxic place. (I have had similar experiences). Glad you found a better place to hang out amongst friends

Em - hope you and DH are settling into parenthood nicely. What a great Christmas it will be in your household

January - can't be too long until you welcome your cherub .. Will be stalking for your update

AFM - on the countdown to stop BCP early January. Our cycle will be complicated by the fact I have been referred to an orthopaedic surgeon for reconstructive surgery on my ankle. Do I do it before SA or do I/can I wait until after a possible BFP ??

Blinky76 how critical is your orthopaedic surgery? If you can get around after it the slow down may be just the thing during your treatment.

Mmm I would have to say EDA has been far more than toxic of late. Ethical questions asked- blocked and deleted is their remedy while my profile sits there for anyone on the forum to view and nothing I can do about it. Advertising for someone to take over eggs on a cycle cancelled by IP was my issue. Not things I can wrap my brain around comfortably.

BFP mardi I knew those numbers were great. Good to see such a hands on specialist. You are very lucky.

Default Egg Donation in South Africa #7

KMP - this would be my second recon on my ankle. (I had them both done when I was 16- so a lifetime ago ) my foot seems to be getting worse even in the last month so while my foot isn't falling off i do worry about the damage that may be done if I have to wait..

Mardi, that sounds promising... Googling just brings on stress and you need to be happy... Focus on what your fs said... It is early, so it sounds like it is taking shape...

Just lost my post by pressing Reply to Thread twice. I apologise in advance if this is posted twice.

    Mardi and Konza
    - The best excuse ever to hold off on the Baileys! I have only this to say to you .

Blinky76 - You poor thing! As if the egg donor journey isn't complicated enough. I agree with KMP in that it really depends on how urgent the surgery is. I'd be talking to you FS and your orthopaedic surgeon. I know that I would not want anything to be getting in the way of a BFP so make sure you can have the surgery without effect post transfer.

    Hi to everyone else

Blinky - thanks for your well wishes! It's busy but fab around here since Edie arrived.
I'd do your surgery before going if you can squeeze it in, you don't want to be up the duff, gaining weight on a dodgy foot and you probably couldn't have anesthetic while preggers? (or at least it would be less worry re:effects). I've held off on an endoscopy for that very reason.
