Mardicharli they didn't direct me who to pick in any way. They simply directed me to 4-5 profiles that best suited (who I had chosen any way). The donors all seemed to be at university which I liked.

    Thanks ladies,
I just read through the info I had received. I remembered reading the tests that they have but missed the part where it says they have a psychological assessment as well.

Lisa - CFC testing is very thorough and if there is any reason to suspect an issue they will either do further testing or make a recommendation not to proceed with that donor. We had it with our first pick on our first cycle. We ended up finding another donor.

It is also up to you as to how you select your donor. CFC recommend A list of agencies. Each agency is happy to help narrow down your search if you wish or you can do the entire search yourself in their databases. Most allow you to search based on some broad criteria. It can be overwhelming so take your time..

DH and I found the easiest way was to write a list of 'must have' criteria as well as 'would like' criteria.
We then Searched all agencies for all donors with that criteria. We then printed off each profile and read them in depth, picked our top 5 each and then discussed our choices. For the most part we found our top 5 was actually similar.
