Chillout: I went through my GP because I didn't have a FS here. I wouldn't say she 'supported' the process (in fact, I think she was quite dubious about the whole thing and didn't quite understand what I was doing) but she gave me the referrals I needed for scans/blood tests, etc, and also wrote scripts where she could (she couldn't prescribe Synarel for example because she wasn't a specialist but was able to prescribe Lucrin - not sure why that would be so - so I went with that instead). So it is possible to do it with a GP here, but the onus is on you to get everything you need (and find the right doctor!)

DJShears: Best of luck for your biopsy. Thinking of you today.

Laned: Congrats on being PUPO (and with one in the freezer, which is better than nothing, although I can imagine how disappointing you must be to end up with such low numbers...but it only takes one, as you know...

    Hi to everyone else.
AFM: Waiting for a call from the doc's with my second BT results... Can't relax until they call!

    Hi Luca,
Yes it was too late not to transfer them. They had me ready for the transfer when I had asked what they were when they showed them to me on the screen.

Patsy - yayyyyyy! Huge congratulations on your second beta!! Hopefully now you can start to believe this awesome news and celebrate!! We are soooo happy for you!! Enjoy every second of your pregnancy.

Chillout - we also got most of our scripts through out gp, but as Patsy said, some scripts can only be written by FS. Depending on your GP and state. It can be done solely through your GP, but if you are wanting a more specialised support, maybe try ringing a few clinics in your area and asking them what it might cost?? Our GP also did write scripts for our scans and semen test etc too.

Laned - Congrats again on being PUPO. We have everything crossed for you guys too!

DJShears - so sorry to hear they put your test back. When will hospitals realise we are people with emotions who are stressing desperately to find results, not simply appointments on a page. Thinking of you for next week. Xxx

Hi and good luck to everyone else! Xxx

AFM - I was just wondering where everyone bought their souvenirs from in Cape Town? I know the C&A has a lot but they seem so expensive! Are they indeed the best, or are there markets or shopping centres which are better value?? Thanks heaps! Xxx

Mardicharli..For souvenirs I went to the markets near where I stayed and also the markets at the V&A although they were far more expensive. I stayed at CapeTown Lodge and will definitely book there again if I get to go back next year. Also, there are some really quaint villages which are on tours and they have a lot of hand made products which are so imaginative and very inexpensive.

Gosh, I so want to go back....

Is there anyone on here in NSW????

    Donna x

Donna just read about the delay for your test, what a pain... sending all my good vibes your way over the next few days... ignore my text I'll send it again on Tuesday xx

Mardicharli I saw Vicky Hindmarch for acu' before and after, she was great, I rang her at the last minute and she had me come in on her afternoon off, it might be worth a try if you can't get into see Sarah, can't find her number but if you google her you'll find her.

Laned I am sorry about your embies, the same happened to me only two to transfer and all others 'no good', suffice to say I wasn't very happy and had them check again the next day only to find two beautiful blasts which are now in the freezer, definitely worth following them up cause you never know, congrat's on being pupo

Patsy congratulations what fantastic news x

Hi to everyone else hope all is going well for you wherever you are on your journey xx

Chillout, whereabouts are you located? My FS in Canberra is wonderful and I don't think she charges any more than the cost of the consultation fees - I haven't confirmed that for sure but she didn't mention any management fee when we were discussing SA, however even if there was a fee she is usually very fair with what she charges for her services.

I'm based in Sydney and have been going through ivf with genea. They will only offer support for TWEB for donors (frozen eggs) who meet NSW regulatory criteria so SA is out as are most ED countries!

Hi DJShears, yes I'm in Sydney.
Hope everything is going well for you.

Chillout, I am with the Bernsteins in Bondi Jnct which do cost a bit, but I like not having to worry and know they just tell me everything I need to know and tell me what to take and when. I guess one less stress to cope with.
But a lot of the other ladies seem to have done it themselves with help from GP's, CFC and some other FS.

I got my Thyroid checked yesterday and pleased it is in normal range. Still waiting for AF so I can start back on the pill and get back into it to prep for my next trip - hopefully in Feb , will see though.

    Hope everyone is well. *waving*
