That's brilliant Patsy. Though I understand your caution I am going to say congratulations. You'd been so quiet I was starting to worry but so glad to hear you've had good news.

Williteverhappen so sorry for your BFN. BFNs are very hard let alone the extra mile you ladies have gone to going to SA.

Patsy congratulations I am so happy for you.

AFM I'm still just getting all the results together to send off but this shouldn't be too much longer now.

I had a frozen transfer last week of my remaining eggs at my old clinic. They were a 6 and 5 cells when frozen (day 3) and when defrosted they dropped to 3 cells. I drove 3 hours to the transfer and they hadn't grown overnight. I was so angry couldn't believe they did the transfer. I would never have made the trip had I known.

Williteverhappen: I am so very sorry to hear about your BFN.

Patsy73: Great news on your BFP fingers crossed for some good numbers on Thursday

Tittle: Thank you for responding with your experiences with family. I have always wanted to be a mum. I am a great mum to my pets that get spoiled and the few people who I have told about the IVF think I will be a great mum. I haven’t told mum & dad yet about the donor eggs and I’m in no hurry to but will have to bring it up before hand as I would like them to look after my pets. Mum said a while ago she thought that I would have given up by now.

AFM: I have provisional dates for SA. So expecting to be there 11 Feb for scan and hopefully 5 day transfer predicted for 18 Feb. So I have worked out hopefully if I’m pregnant I will be due about my birthday J. My donor is not being screened until mid December so I am not going to get confirmed dates until then but I suppose that this is usual. I’m looking forward to getting dates confirmed so I can finally book flights and accommodation.

Patsy – Congrats on your BFP. I totally get why you want to be cautious. I hope your beta will be higher on Thursday. All the best. Thanks for the info on acupuncture, am thinking of using Sarah too. Her prices are very reasonable.
Lisa – It’s exciting putting all you information together, and choosing your donor. Good luck with everything.
AFM – AF arrived late today, so will start the OCP tomorrow.

Williteverhappen sending lots of hugs your way! Hope you enjoy China. Glad to see you have such a positive attitude sounds like maybe you have a sperm issue hopefully the docs can offer advice and help get you to a BFP!

Patsy73 congrats on the BFP our first HCG was 221 and Dr LR said they want 100 or above so congrats it looks like your numbers are right on target but I hear you about being cautious after all we've gone thru its hard to just relax and accept its actually happened! I am at 7 weeks now and other than having to get up to pee a lot don't notice any other changes. We plan to tell our parents this Thursday at Thanksgiving dinner which should make it more real and then next week have our 8 week scan. Its amazing how you go from one milestone to the next worrying and hoping at each one....I guess it never stops till the baby comes along and is in your arms?

Hope4all hows your 2 WW going? When do you test? That's great you have 8 frozen!

Laned, MardiCharli & Konza how are things going in Cape Town?

Hello to all of the rest of you! I had a massage the day before my transfer (didn't realize the tranfer would be the next day since we went on day 3) but it was devine and helped me to relax.

Hi there ladies! For those whose GP supported them with meds prescriptions and protocols, what exactly did they do so I can find out where my GP stands on it? Also how did you sync your cycle with that of your egg donor, do you need to track ovulation for a few months and how do you then time your cycle to be ready to receive fresh embryos? Thanks again for being such a fount of knowledge!

Chillout- my FS here in Australia was the one to encourage us to explore SA for DE so he has been 'on board 'right from the start. I basically got my treatment plan from CFC and took it to him. We worked out an immune protocol to coincide with their treatment plan and he wrote all the scripts. (All very simple). For this upcoming cycle I have an appointment booked with him in a couple of weeks where we will book in a scan (his suggestion) and intralipids for January before we leave.
I did try to get scripts written by my GP (who is also on board) but some of them couldn't be prescribed unless by a specialist.
As for syncing the cycle, CFC work all that out for you. The treatment plan they send outlines when to start OCP and other meds to sync you with your donor.

Patsy - Congratulations on your BFP! What a Christmas present!

Emski - Hope all is going well with lovely Edie

Annabelle1, Lisa - it's a great feeling having plans start to form Best wishes as they all fall into place.

To all my fellow February CFC'ers -countdown is on for all of us .. Yay!

AFM: We are officially in our way having started OCP today! It's always a strange feeling being excited to see AF.
All our flights, accomm, etc have been booked and paid so we feel nice and relaxed about it all. We fly out on Australia Day and will be in Cape Town until 11th February.
