Williteverhappen so sorry to hear it's a bfn.

Our FS here suggested a unique idea for our next DE cycle that you may want to think about... When we go back for our second cycle to SA we will be doing a 50/50 split cycle using DE. The basics of it are we use an egg donor and half of whatever eggs we get we will inseminate with DH and the other half will be with Donor sperm. This way if there is an issue with DH sperm (as he suspects) then at least we have the double donor embies to work with. By doing this in the one cycle we save ourselves a trip to SA and can then narrow down the 'what ifs'....

Oh no, Williteverhappen I'm so saddened to read your news. I feel so sad right now, I honestly thought it would have been a BFP for you especially since you had 3 transferred.
I'm glad you've spoken to CFC & your FS, which means you're already onto the next chapter & not giving up. You'll have time to think about it while you're in China & hopefully make a decision but only in your time.

All the best to everyonein ct or in the 2ww or about to go on the Ed journey. Baby dust to us all

Laned - Huge congratulations on your eggs and fertilization results. I just told Konza he had better have produced some awesome swimmers today. 9 out of 10 is amazing!
    When is your transfer? xxx

Mardi - thanks Hun. Granted DH recent results were not that flash in so far as morphology (only 1% normal), I was surprised at the fert rates. It will be interesting to see how they go herein. As of this morning we apparently had 6 x 8 cells and 3 x 6 cells. So it is thankfully a day 5 transfer on Wednesday. That said, one never counts their chickens in this game. Furthermore, not wanting to sound paranoid, but I really had to push them to give me specific details about the embryos!! That in itself is a bit of a concern.

Wishing you the absolute best. Xx

Patsy and Hope4 - best and warm wishes with you both and hoping for your so to be announced BFPs. Xxx

Williteverhappen: So sorry to hear about your BFN, that's so disappointing. Sending you and your DH much love. Try and enjoy China and then onwards and upwards with your next move. It is going to happen.

Laned: Great numbers, good luck for tomorrow. Hope you are all enjoying CT second time around.

Mardi: Good luck today, hope your donor blesses you with lots of eggs. How are you enjoying CT?

Hope4all: Hope you're coping with the dreaded 2WW ok? When is your blood test scheduled for? Fingers crossed. Great news that you had 8 to freeze as well.

CAMom: Good news about your scan. Another milestone passed. How are you feeling?

Faith: Re acupuncture. I also used Sarah Hewland when I was in CT and thought she was great. I was a first timer but I took the 'in for a penny, in for a pound' attitude and thought it couldn't hurt. I went four times in the end (after I was pushed back from day 3 to day 5) and at the very least, I found lying down listening to classical music very relaxing at a slightly stressful time. Wish she was based in Melbourne because I'd be a regular visitor.

And hello to everyone else and thanks to everyone for the support while we were in CT, it really helped.

AFM: Flight home was quicker on the way back (only eight hours from Joburg to Perth so I'd recommend the SAA flight for anyone who wants to spend the least time in the air!) but I've still been suffering a bit with jetlag since. I was convinced that things weren't looking good because I hadn't felt anything at all but Monday morning I finally did a POAS and it came back as positive. Shocked doesn't describe it. BT results today have confirmed it, BETA is 212. Not getting too excited until I get the next BT results on Thursday but for now, I can cautiously say it appears I came back from CT with a little Springbok on board...
