    AFM - today's bloods showed further kidney function decline so this Bub is making his appearance 8am tomorrow morning. That's less than 12 hours away. Eeek. Secretly can't wait but also a little scared.

    Any birth announcement?
    @AceOfBase: what is the lancing device scale you are using to get enough blood drop? It suggests setting 2 to start......any tip to make it less painful? Do you reuse the lancet?

    Sorry for crashing... @bbhope don't reuse lancets, it's not hygienic plus they get blunter with use so it will hurt more! And as far as the number you set it on - the higher the number, the longer the needle is/the further it will go in your finger. So starting small is a good idea, only go up if your fingers start developing calluses and/or the needle isn't going in far enough to draw blood. My hubby is a type 1 diabetic so I'm full bottle on this haha.

    And congrats to all the ladies in here who've had babies recently too

    Hi ladies! Sorry for my absence, I follow along with email notifications but haven't logged on in a while. My little boy Camden was born at 2.53pm on the 14th of July! He was 7lbs 6oz and 51 cm! We are so in love! I was induced the day before my due date due to high blood pressure but baby arrived safe and sound. We have been in a bit of a baby bubble since Cam's arrival and feel very blessed to have our little man!
