@bbhope try not to worry too much about the size of ur belly or what people may say. It's funny how some people are compelled to make comments about our belly's like "ur growing fast" or " u don't even look pregnant" (I've also noticed now that people love to touch my belly). In terms of ur diet the first trimester is just about eating what u feel u can - I remember I developed an aversion to vegetables, which I generally eat most days (thankfully it passed at the end of the first trimester), at the same time developing craving for oven chips and Raspberry Fanta amongst others, when I told my FS she said it was just a case of eating what I can manage and at that stage it was more important that I could actually manage to eat something. Anyway it's more about how well u can lose it afterwards. Oh and good news, my friend who has just had a baby told me that partway through third trimester she started feeling full very quickly as didn't have much space in there, so appetite decreased (I'm feeling quite keen for that part but probably won't like it when it happens lol).

Nothing much happening with me at this stage, just going to a Pregnancy and Baby Expo on Sunday. Still have to make most of my purchases yet.

Trying to put a bump pic on but my computer won't let me for some reason so will try again some other time, silly computer!

Thanks for asking. They were running quite late so the sonographer just did a very quick scan on me. She spent a good 30 mins with the couple before us but we were in and out within 15 mins. To be honest, we didn't know what to expect so couldn't compare. But after seeing few youtube 12w scan videos, I realised that she missed couple of things, such as placenta position, fetal heart chamber, my kidney etc. She actually didn't even measure the NT in front of us. She just came back with the report showing us the adjusted risk for down is low in our case. She pointed out the placenta but didn't tell me more when i asked the question. Anyway, we are happy to hear that the bub is healthy. Hyperactive! Baby wouldn't sit/lie still for the entire scan!

However, CRL was measured few days behind. I was 12w1d but the scan shown 11w5d. I'm not sure if i should be worried?? How accurate the measurement is? OB always measured a day ahead, though.

I've mild immune issue and the most common problem is the slow fetal growth, which one needs to watch out. They can alter the med if needs be. I'm weaning off the drugs atm.

Will write more another day, but just a quick line to say my 20 week scan went perfect today, everything normal looking, and the genetic specialist said that my chromosome issue will not affect the genes of the baby. And... we're having a baby girl :-))

Default IVF Babies due July/August/September 2015!

Congratulations @MGC Bertie! Little girls are awesome....they sure know how to wrap their daddy's around their little fingers!
@Nicky1977 - let us know if you pick up any great deals at the baby expo
@bbhope - congrats on the great scan it's amazing to see how much they're moving around in there huh? My NT scan sonographer mentioned that my placenta was low and at the front but she was not worried in the slightest as she said that as Bub and my uterus was still so small, everything was "down low" really.....which makes sense hey? She pointed out that as everything got bigger and stretched, it would probably be pulled up higher as happens for most mummy's. Have you had a previous c-section or uterine surgery?

@KayzB - I'm feeling good thanks LOVING feeling lots of movements now, nothing better to help those anxious rainbow baby thoughts

AFM - 21.5 weeks. Still pretty darn anxious about the Accreta possibility 😰 I've almost given up trying not to Dr Google as I was failing miserably anyway. I think I've learnt most of what there is to know about it anyway.....came across something interesting this morning though where someone asked on an Accreta site if anyone knew if baby aspirin during early pregnancy reduced the risk of developing Accreta but everyone who answered actually took aspirin for the first time and actually developed Accreta....I wonder if it increased the chance? There is also some research underway to see if FET's increase the chance of developing it.....I had both a FET and aspirin. I actually can't see how a FET would make any difference though as it definitely seems like more of a uterus thing rather than embryo thing. The highest risk factor is a previous c-section.

I also came across an ultrasound pic of someone with percreta who's placenta had huge blood vessels through it which appeared like big dark holes......during my first six ultrasounds my Ob performed on me when I was getting all that bleeding during my first trimester, he always had a good look around trying to find the source of all that bleeding and pointed out how my placenta had some big blood vessels ( I could easily see them myself on the screen too). My 12 week NT sonographer also mentioned the large blood vessels when she was looking at the blood flow through the umbilical cord and placenta. Then my 19 week Morph sonographer mentioned it yet again. This one looks a bit more extreme than what mine has looked like up to date but not by much and you can see the placenta and large blood vessels through it towards the right of the picture with thin blue arrows pointing to it....... My next Ob appointment is at the end of the month and I have another 3D scan booked in for 32 weeks in June unless I get anymore bleeding before then. I'm going to ask my Ob wether I shouldn't be getting another 3D scan before then as bubs are usually delivered super early so that the accreta/percreta doesn't get worse.

@Ladydee: I don't know if D&C and hysteroscopy polypectomy are considered uterine surgery. I did it as an exploratory surgery after my chemical pregnancy. No previous history of c-section. First bub. I am curious to know the placenta position because FS deliberately put the embie a bit lower this time due to me having a mystery "blob" up the uterus (polyp? no one knows but big enough to see on the ultrasound....only found out half way through my IVF cycle). I know embie bounces around so who knows where it landed.

@Ladydee you definitely need to chat with your ob about all your concerns, and when you need to have the ultrasound, just for your piece of mind. I think doctor google defintely is the cause of much anxiety. Ur probably very keen for your appointment asap.

I will be sure to tell you all about the baby expo, it is going to all the big cities, Adelaide being the first, I found out via a friend who has a two month old baby.
@MGC Bertie congrats on your little girl
@bbhope my NT scan showed my baby as 2 days ahead of the due date, but the sonographer told me not to worry and go by the date of m dating scan and what my FS had given me. So I guess that means there accuracy for dates cannot be relied on!

Congrats MGC on the news of your baby girl!
I'm going to the pregnancy and babies expo in adelaide this weekend too. I'm now 24+4 and had my first baby shop experience today (baby bunting) - omg totally overwhelming but seems a good time to start getting into all this and start buying for our baby girl. I was there for nearly an hour and left dazed with a headache lol (hate shopping!).

@bbhope that's disappointing that the sonographer rushed through yours hun, but am glad to hear that everything else was good news 😊 Hopefully your OB can elaborate on your scan report at your next appt.
@MGC Bertie fab news about your scan results, and a lil girl, how precious
@Ladydee I had FET & baby Asprin too, however no previous C-section. But anyway, easier said than done, but try to stop Googling hun, it will just drive you completely insane! 😩 You probably have/are going to anyway, but write down a whole heap of questions for your OB so he/she can address all your concerns. Could you even bring forward your appt a week if it's causing you lots of anxiety? And does your OB scan you at appointments? I hope things will be fine for you hun. And remember, Google is evil 😈
@Nicky1977 enjoy the baby expo! Hope you manage to score some good freebies 😃
@gingermillie same here, I'll have a look online so that I'm 'sure' of what I want & can just pop in & out - but then I get there, and become so overwhelmed & confused with everything! Our next big ticket items are car seats, so hopefully I stick to my 'plan' and just buy what I've come for! And Baby Bunting are having a sale at the moment, so can't procrastinate about it for too long 😃

TGIF! Hope everyone has a lovely weekend ahead ☀️😊
