Thanks @KayzB, in some ways I have been quite lucky with my pregnancy, only very mild nausea early on, but managed to escape the vomitting. The main problem I have had has been with spotting/bleeding early on up to week 11 and more recently in the last 3 weeks, 3 times been to hospital to get checked out. The baby has been ok but it turns out I have a friable cervix so likely to bleed easily. It's reassuring to know what's causing the problem, but it's always a worry, but I guess as parents we will always worry and my body may be preparing me for that. If I go into hospital to get checked I always have a portable ultrasound and get to see the little guy, which is always nice. Hope this one posts, I lost it when I tried a few minutes ago lol

@Nicky1977 yep your post worked 😊 True, at least it's 'reassuring' that your bleeding is due to a specific reason, but of course must still be worrying nonetheless. I had lots of early pregnancy bleeding & it was an awfully stressful time. Even now I'm still always on the lookout for any sign of spotting etc!
Have you had your morph scan?

Ur right @KayzB it is terribly worrying seeing any bleeding or spotting, I think especially early on we are always inclined to fear the worst. I remember reading that ur having twins, a friend from work said when she had her twins (22 years ago) she was constantly spotting through her first trimester, apparently she was told as there were two of them they were putting more pressure on her down there. I think with bleeding though its natural to assume even if there is a reason 'what if there's something wrong this time.' Had my morph scan about 2 weeks ago, baby all healthy, although was being most unco-operative for the scan, I think all the prodding and poking to try and get him to co-operate affected me more lol. Sonographer said none of them co-operate completely but there are different degrees of lack of co-operation, and I think my little guy was posing quite a challenge I just found it an amazing experience though everything we could see and looking at all his body parts in detail. Quite overwhelming really!

My morph scan went well. We're not finding out sex. It took hours though, because bub kept hiding. Lol. We had to go back the next day. All normal and adorable.

It seems like babies like giving us and the sonographers the runaround for these scans lol. Mine was I think 3 hours in total. Oh well they're starting as they mean to go on keeping us on our toes

Default IVF Babies due July/August/September 2015!

Wow. Congrats to all reaching the milestone. Wonderful news!

I don't remember if I post it here. But figure all of you have so far along that can provide more insight. I just went to do 10w BT. To my surprise, the pathology place didn't do bulk bill on this one. Is this norm? OB did tick bulk bill. I know no imaging place will do bulk bill (ok maybe only one small place in Perth). Do you get rebate from medicare for NT scan?

@Nicky1977 gosh 3 hours! You've got a hyper cheeky one there! Your lil boy is already testing mama's patience 😉💞

@bbhope my 10wk BT wasn't bulk billed hun, so seems to be the norm to pay. But lucky for me I had a lovely sonographer for my NT scan, who bulk billed that for me, so I didn't end up having to pay. Same with my 20wk scan. Not sure how much the rebate is if you do have to pay.
How are things tracking for you now hun?

Lol @KayzB I think he is already setting the benchmark for when he is born
@bbhope I didn't get rebate from NT scan, from memory it cost about $190, that's in Adelaide though so may be slightly different. I had the Harmony test just after 10 weeks, which cost $430 (and that was Jan 6th, was told it had been $540 before the New Year so I actually got lucky). My recent morph scan was in the hospital so I didn't pay (just as well considering it took 3 hours lol), they told me they couldn't possibly scan everyone in the hospital at 20 weeks , but for ivf women they want to have a look for themselves so prefer our scans to take place in the hospital.

My NT place didn't bulk bill either ($195). I sent that receipt and the one from the Harmony test ($430) into Medicare yesterday, on the off chance that they might pay something. I have to go to a special place for my 20 week scan, so have to pay there too - $375 for the scan and $210 to see the genetics specialist. The receptionist said that Medicare will give "a little bit" back on those two. Again, all these $500 bills quickly add up - so far over the three years of IVF my OOP expenses tally $65,000, and there's probably still another $5-10,000 still to go. As my DH keeps saying, this baby has spent its inheritance already :-))
