Default IVF Babies due July/August/September 2015!

Hiya ladies, a happy update from me....our little bub is measuring right on track today at 6+1 with a lovely little heartbeat, beating away It's due date is two days after our first angel bubba's so I'm due on 17th August Pleeeease let this be our take home bubba to complete our family!!! It's a great day today and a much better Christmas than the last one
@Sally girl - did we transfer on the same day? You must have a scan coming up in the next week or so? I'm waiting on results but I got my Progesterone checked again today, I told them I don't even want to know my hCG so that I don't start stressing about it with Dr Google I will find out about my Progesterone to see if these injections are doing enough. What's next for you Hun?

Congratulations again @MGC Bertie, super thrilled to be in your DIG, you IVF warrior-woman....you so deserve a healthy bubba in your arms to kiss, cuddle and enjoy Did you get one or two follies triggered?

@MGC Bertie I am so excited for you!! It is so good when LTIVFWW finally get that illusive bfp!! I bought a bunch of IC hpt to poas to keep me sane before my 7wk scan, no point wasting money on the FRER sticks, they are too sensitive for ur hcg levels now. Just nice to see those two lines nice and strong.

@Liletak u've already decided to stick with private but just my 2c worth: I really loved having a private room for 4-5 nites/days. DH could stay with us and we didn't have to worry about anything except recovery and breastfeeding, which u will get more support for (based on mine and friends experiences). Yeah and $6000 is a lot so glad u found someone cheaper. I'm paying $3500 total. I'm going to Cabrini as its closest to home and loved it first time.
@Ladydee yay for the hb! Did u get this far in ur other pregnancies this yr? Hope the prog injections are working for u.
@Jen182 how many wks are u? I heard that the placenta kicks in at around 9wks. I'm sure if ur Dr says it's all good then it must be. So hard not to worry tho.
@sallygirl how are ur prog levels? Hope they are increasing.
Glad u could take that week off and hope u get a stress free Xmas.
@leyshoja sorry this message is coming a little late: I'm really sorry u've lost this pregnancy. It really is unfair what u've had to go thru. Sucks big time but u seem amazingly strong and I can't wait to see ur bfp next year and hope they let u transfer 2!
    @apolly here's my 'get to know u'
36, live in Melbourne, married for 6 yrs, DS will be 2 on New Years Day!! This bub is a FET from same batch as DS and is due on my birthday! I don't enjoy the process of pregnancy but the end result makes it worth it. Wish I could ride my bike and drink wine (not at the same time) I've put on 3kg already but am 5kg lighter than last time at start of 2nd tri. Morning sickness is starting to go, seems every 2nd day is good but still had a big chuck yesterday after breakfast :-/

Hello and welcome to others that have joined us. Hope u all have a wonderful Christmas and NY!

Hi ladies, I'm not expecting so sorry to crash the thread.

I just wanted to offer congrats to all the pregnancies on this thread and thought I'd say a quick hello since I was apart of the Oct 2014 IVF cycle cheer squad- so many familiar names in this thread, which is nice.

@Ladydee nice to see you here. I missed your bfp so huge congrats, so happy for you!! Can you believe my DD is 6mths old now?!?! Time is going so fast!!
@apolly I live in Newcastle as well. I gave birth to my dd at newcastle private hospital and has happy with my experience there if that helps. I had a brief scan over some of the posts so sorry if I missed that you've mentioned if you are going to that hospital or not.
@leyshoja I'm so sorry to hear it wasn't better news for you! Huge hugs Hun, please be kind to yourself xx
@MGC Bertie I think you may have been in my cycle group when I first joined bubhub (your name looks familiar). I'm so happy that your time has finally come. Wishing you a happy and healthy rest of you pregnancy.

Hi to everyone else and Merry Christmas

@Ladydee that's exciting new. My clinic said after last weeks blood result I don't need anymore blood tests. I couldn't get in for a scan until 8th jan so it's a long nervous weight for me. By my dates I'm due on the 16th august but that might change after the scan. We should keep in touch xxx @akakura my progesterone level last week was 106 so they said to continue 5 pessaries a day and no more blood tests.

Thanks everyone for your warm welcome and congratulations :-))

Sally... as others have noticed from my signature, I'm a long term IVF warrior. This is my 13th IVF cycle. I've never had a BFP on any of my previous 12 IVF cycles, the closest I ever came were my last two cycles when I got big Hcg readings of 3 and 5 respectively!! They were basically nothing, but did give me a glimmer of hope that all these meds were starting to work. My progesterone was 150 on both first and second BT (strange that it was the same, I quizzed the FS about it, but he said that's what it was). My FS says I don't need any progesterone support, but I'm actually on 3x400mg a day through my immune specialist, Dr M.

Ladydee.... that's wondeful news about the heartbeat. I'm imagining that leading up to that moment has to be quite stressful. I was given a low dose of Fsh before the IUI, which the FS said could result in two follicles, but on the last scan before the IUI there was only one follie, so I'm sure it's s singleton (and secretly relieved too). I noted that you had your heartbeat scan at 6+1. Just want to confirm, that 6+1, is counted from day 1 of your last period. Is that right? Since being told about that weird counting, I went and had a look at my dates - my day 1 was 12 days before the IUI, and plugging into one of those online calculators it gives my due date as at 29 August.

Akakura.... I'm waiting for my clinic to ring me with a date for my scan. I expected them to ring today, but I think the problem is that my FS told me yesterday that he will be away and they have to get another FS at the clinic to do it. To be honest it really doesn't matter who does it - I actually thought that it would just be one of the nurses, so not sure what the fuss is about? I noted that Ladydee had her scan at 6+1, but yours is at 7weeks. So there's a little bit of flexibility there? Ooh, not looking forward to "big chucks" as you say!! I think I'll stop by the local ER and pick up a whole heap of those sick bags that I know they have on their counter (I was there earlier in the year using them when I had kidney stones).

@akakura - I agree with you about the Private Hospy stuff....it's all about the feeding in those early days! Ouchies!!! My dd had an undiagnosed tight upper lip tie until 6 months so I struggled through months and months of expressing..... hoping for a polar opposite feeding experience this time, fx! Sorry to hear about your ms....it's so awful! I only chucked about 8 times with my dd but, that was more than enough! How far along are you now Hun?
My losses starting from last Christmas Eve were 7 weeks, 11 weeks (trisomy 13 ) , 8.5weeks and my latest freshie was a chem at 5.5weeks. Still a while to go before I let myself get too excited but I promised myself after my last loss that I wouldn't be a total stress-head for the entire next pregnancy so here I am.....braving a DIG!!!
@Annerley - yay for our cheer squad! Lol. Thanks so much for the well wishes Wowzers, 6 months?! Time flies when you're having fun huh? I've blinked and my little newborn dd is fast approaching 3 years! Wth?! I started ttc#2 when she was 9 months old so because I've been living cycle to cycle since then, it has just flown by way way too fast!!! I'm sure you are but, take a million photos and videos during that first year as they change SO much! xx
@Sally girl - I transferred on the 29th of Nov.....maybe you were on the 28th? I'm forgetting now! How are you feeling? I think exhaustion is my main thing. I've had sorer boobs in past pregnancies but this is my first cycle with no corpus lutetium so maybe that makes a difference to my body? Ofcourse, definitely keep in touch.....I would love nothing more than comparing swollen ankles with you in about 7 months time Yay for winter bubs though hey? x

Thanks @MGC Bertie I'm sure it's a bit nerve-wracking for everyone getting that first scan (exciting too!) but I've had an opposite crappy last year to you with this being my 5th pregnancy so I've formed a love/hate relationship with those darn scans! Hopefully nothing but exciting, good-news ones from now on!!! I usually have my first scans inbetween 7 and 8 weeks but I got a super early one this time because of Christmas
Was this your first OI cycle? Or had you done some before your IVF cycles? I've done 6 FSH/IUI cycles and fell pregnant with my dd on my 2nd one in 2011 I just LOVE how you got UTD in the end....SO meant to be! I get confused with the due dates also.....I'm due on the 17th August. Cd1 was on the 11/11 and my 5day FET was in the 29/11.

Ladydee....I did 8 full stim cycles with my own eggs (some with DH's dodgy sperm and some with anon donor sperm), then I did 4 cycles with my sister's donor eggs (all with anon donor sperm), and this last cycle was an IUI, so my own egg, with anon donor sperm. As sperm was always the issue from the start, that's why we were told to go straight to ISCI.

Lileitak.... wow, 15 progesterone pessaries for $170 from your clinic does sound expensive, and as I have 3 per day, that wouldn't last me very long. I get my pessaries from a local compounding chemist (off a script from my immune specialist) - they cost $220 for 60, and I have seen one or two other Sydney women on other threads get them even a little bit cheaper than that (though it's convenient for me as it's close). Doubt though, that your clinic will write you a script for you to source them elsewhere!!

I will have to go back through to look up all the due dates and cities, but so far I have:

    Hi ladies.
Was a bit anxious to join this thread. this is my first bfp after 12 cycles too.
I recognise a few names on here from my hubbub yrs. it makes me extremely happy to see so many ladies on this thread, like MGC Bertie I too come from the LTIVFW group.
i had my first bloods on Friday 16dp5dt and hcg was 2924 and on Monday it was 7831. Don't feel anything really apart from a constant pulling in my uterus which I'm sure is normal....

I Have my scan on 9 January and I will be 7w5d. I'm happy to wait til then.

I really like like reading over your views on public vs private. I have booked in private. But I'm still torn? I'm in Sydney so I had the choice of a few. I have chosen Kareena Private purely based on location and a new maternity ward. It's also not costing as much as I thought. My OB is $3500 and I get approx $2500 back from Medicare. I thought that was pretty reasonable. Can give details if any one lives just South of Sydney. He has a great reputation and is quite a funny Chappy.

I couldnt copy copy and paste everyone's due dates from my iPad but I'm due on 21 August which is my birthday.

Anyway i I really hope I stick this out as I have not felt the nerves shift and relax now I have those double lines and I just hope I can relax sooner rather than later. I guess we all have those dreaded feelings of it coming unstuck.

Congrats to all the beautiful well deserving ladies on this thread. You have all ran a marathon and come out he other side standing.

    Hugs kylee.

@bubs4kylee wow another LTIVFWW here with us! Congrats hun, we cycled together back in 2012 I think, glad ur now here finally we're both having birthday bubs! happy to share my (limited) knowledge from previous pregnancy with u guys as I know the nerves are hard to settle early on. I did not get many symptoms until 6wks just mild uterus stuff like u've mentioned.

@MGC Bertie my due date June 29, but expect a July bub arrival

    Check these sites out:
    To calc hcg doubling times
    http://www.babymed.com/tools/hcg-calculator

    Due date calc for ivf/iui
    http://www.ivfconnections.com/forums...r-Insemination

I think 6 wks is the earliest they like to do scan as the heart beat starts at the end of 5wks so no point doing it earlier. My clinic does 3 BTs at wks 4,5,6 then scan at 7. Then over the Ob! I hope u don't get sick like I did but a couple of those sick bags might be handy. I didn't chuck at all with my first preg (boy) but this times has been 10 times worse and it's probably a girl.
@Ladydee yes I feel we should tell the girls how bloody hard breastfeeding is!! No one told me how painful it would be, like worse than child birth. Having said that I did get on top of it and bf my DS for 16months but bloody hell the start was hard and without a lot of support I might not have continued.
I'm so sorry for all your losses. That is just devastating to read. You are amazing to be so positive and joining the DIG I guess ivf does make us resilient. Although I feel my journey thru ivf has been a lot easier than some. Oh and I'm 13w3d now
@sallygirl that prog level sounds good now! Pity u have to take so much to get it there but whatever works right!?
@Annerley love ur still cheering for us
@TeamCarts where u at hun? How's the ms treating u now?

Bubs4Kyleee. ... congrats on those Hcg numbers, they look really strong. I've gone back and put in your due date, and everynow and then will re-paste it. I'm thinking if I paste onto every page ending in zero (e.g. 30, 40 etc), then it will be easy for everyone to find the latest updates. I'm surprised that you've already booked in to a hospital. How did you know to do that? Though now I'm reading elsewhere and people are recommending that.

Akakura.... you are a wealth of knowledge, and I hope you don't mind me picking your brains for the next 9 months!! When I asked my clinic the other day, they said there was nothing to do until the HB scan, but now I'm finding others are booking obs, hospitals etc. But to me it still doesn't seem real, and I have this feel if I go book things I will jinx myself. Aargh.
