Scan went very well It was just in the office of our OB. She tried an abdominal one at first but couldn't see anything. I started getting really nervous. They did an internal one & it took along time to find bub. She eventually found our one bub & even played the heartbeat for us, which was amazing!! Such a special afternoon. When they couldn't find anything I was getting really worried there for a while. I wonder if it was because I have a retroverted uterus?

I also got some medication to help treat the all day sickness too

    How is everyone going?
    Yay thats awesome news xx

Had my second BT this morning, and got the figures from my first one from the receptionist.

At 11dp5dt, my beta was 225 and my progesterone was 960. Today will be 17dp, so I'm really anxious to get the numbers.

Does 960 sound right? Seems high, and my google skills are failing me this morning.

My HCG was 228 for the same time so that is spot on!! Your progesterone is very very high! But that's ok but u should be able to stop progesterone support now (but I am not a Dr!!). For DS my prog was 417 and I was told to stop prog straight away and it kept rising, was 541 for 2nd bt and 552 for 3rd bt. So my body was doing its thing.

Did u get lots of eggs at epu? The more eggs collected the more corpus luteum there are and they are producing progesterone in response to hcg from the embryo. The reason we are given progesterone support is as a back up because the corpus luteum, which were holding the eggs, can get damaged at epu.

There is no harm in high progesterone levels, only low levels, that's why fs let u keep taking it. Most of the time it's not necessary but for peace of mind. That's what my fs told me. Around the 9-10 week mark of pregnancy the placenta starts taking over making progesterone, that's why hcg levels start to drop then and morning sickness usually peaks around this time. Has for me that's for sure.

Hope ur allowed to stop crinone gross stuff

Yay @Rocky27!! I've got a retroverted ute as well and ob said it does make it more difficult to see bub in early preg. At my 8wk scan with ob he was able to find bub and hb thru abdomen. Yay no more internals!!

Hope the meds make u feel better 😊
