They are awesome cats. Dont think you need any more reasoning than that.

We have 2. They are extremely friendly and cuddly. Follow you from room to room. Sleep on your bed. Lay in your lap. "talk" to you. Sleep a lot. Not hugely active. Never scratch me unless by accident. Good with kids. I chose the breed for their personality. Didn't see the point in having a cat unless it was the friendly sort and we could bond.

Downside: FUR. mountains and mountains of it. All over the house, me, the car. And they don't even go in the car! Have to vacuum daily. Have about 20 lint rollers. Brush them all the time. They get some seriously gnarly knots you just have to cut out or get them shaved perhaps.

They are indoor cats. I don't believe in outside cats anyway, but this particular breed gets cancer from sun exposure easily and is so friendly they will walk right up to a big dog and get eaten. Read about this when I was researching the breed and it happened to a friend too and it was sad.

Because these cats are very social if you are leaving them in the house alone all day, get 2.

My best friend 2 and they are sooooooooo lovely. They're indoor cats and have such a beautiful nature and are so great with her toddler. Great to the point that her toddler tries to ride them like a horse and they never hiss and have never got their claws out. They do need to be shaved and the cat hair when they're long is a pain but they're so snugly. I want my own!
