Default I HATE talking on the phone

    Just a Vent thread

    Does anyone else???

MIL and my sister ALWAYS seem to ring at the worst possible times, dinner prep, bed time, nap time. They don't ring for anything important, just for pointless chit chat and I just want to scream DONT Ring me.

    I just hate it

Me too! My mum always wants to chat for 20 minutes and I just find it frustrating with a 3 and 1 year old at my feet. I give her a quick run down of what I've been doing and then I get a long detailed description of everything in her life. I like to keep in touch but I hate lengthy phone calls!

I hate it too. I find it so much easier to text than talk on the phone. If someone says they will call me, i usually make up an excuse so i only have to text them.

I HATE talking on the phone!! Everyone who knows me to text because generally I won't answer calls unless it's my in laws in case something is wrong.

I don't even call my boss when I'm off work sick. SMS only lol

With immediate family I don't mind at all.

With in laws (df's side, not the marriedins on my side) I suffer through it but it almost feels awkward.

Anyone else I HATE it. My own besties don't call me anymore because they know I hate chatting on the phone! I announced my engagement to them all in a joint Facebook private message

I even go so far as to use the Internet to order pizza just so I don't have to order on the phone. I put up with lower quality pizza just for this!

If it's not a good time I just don't answer it. Easy! I call them back when I'm ready.

I don't mind it, prefer talking in person but I'll only answer the phone if it's mine or my parents home phone. Sometimes my partners

I hate it so much. Awkward pauses, strange voices, trying to figure out what to say.

Texting is so much easier. No need for emotions or inflections - that's what emoji are for!

I hate it too! But mostly because I have some hearing loss so find it hard to make our what people are saying.

Yip. I've been known to be physically sick before just at the thought of taking or making a phone call.
