Thanks Sally girl Yeah, I've got lots coming up too. I guess it's a good, busy time of year to go through a TWW

Hi everyone I start my first ever lot of injections tomorrow. After watching the DVDs they provided on 'how to' I'm a bit overwhelmed.

Any pointers for overcoming my nerves and being ok with injecting myself? X

@mushy good luck today hun! xxx
@DaniSam - the shots are not nearly as bad as you'd expect. I didn't watch the dvds, but some advice I got was to wait until you're really ready to do them. Get everything ready, turn the TV on in the background as a distraction, and just go for it.

Assume you're using a pen, if so, the needle is super fine. I had more trouble getting the medicine out than giving the shot. Also, my first night it took me 2 shots, plus a pricked my finger on needle, lol. Don't over think it and you'll be fine. Oh, and I found that giving the shot on an angle (instead of straight in) helped. Good luck!

    Hi @DaniSam

I just finished my first ICSI cycle in Oct/Nov which unfortunately resulted in a BFN, but I too was really concerned about the injections as I hate needles!

To be honest though, I was shocked after my first injection as I didn't even really feel the needle go in.... Sometimes the area would sting for a bit after but otherwise I had no issues. All I can say is don't be too concerned, I'm sure it will be much easier than you expect. Just take a deep breath and jab away.

I used to come out of the bathroom with a big smile on my face after each injection as I was so proud of myself. (I feel stupid saying that now, but that's how I felt).

Good luck and sending lots of baby dust your way xx
