I have been on it for 7 or so years (excluding pregnancies) and have never had any issues. I found it the best pill for my body.

My cousin was taking the yasmine pill and was rushed to hospital with chest pain and shortness of breath. She had two blood clots in her lungs and one in her leg. She was in hospital for 6 days and like a pp, she is no longer able to take any form of hormonal contraception.

I had bad mood swings on it and I used to bruise really easily on my legs, my legs were covered in them (I'm a clumsy person always bumping into things but this was ridiculous). I would also get random tingling in my arms.

I was on yasmin for years. Im pretty sure it made my headaches worse. I used to get regular headaches due to a sporting injury, however they were daily & much worse while taking yasmin. I didnt put two & two together till I stopped taking it to ttc but my headaches immediately improved. I was also worried about the stuff in the media

Everybody has different side effects from the pill so its a trial and error for each individual.

Unfortunately the doctors are told to push certain brands so their advice isn't always best.
My hormones are all un-balanced and out of whack, I am getting pimples for the first time in my life, I bloat so much that I look pregnant some days , and that is after one cup of water or a small meal, bad ovulation pains, things like that. The Doctor thought it would be a good low dose pill to help with the fluid retention (bloating) etc.

I went on Yaz when I was 17.
I had been on microgynon (sp?) since 14 due to really heavy painful periods, it was great but wanted to try something different for my skin.
About 2 weeks after starting Yaz I had really bad restless legs, one morning my legs just went completely numb.
I was taken off it right away and monitored in hospital, I had no signs of a blood clot though.

I was on it for about a year. I loved it. No side effects for me and periods were very light and short -4 days instead of 7. I only went off it to ttc.

I was on it for years and thought I had no issues. But now I see pp mentioning headaches and migraines being a side effect. I was forever taking tablet trying to get rid of my terrible headaches. I feel pregnant not too long after coming off the pill and just thought that pregnancy had changed my body enough to relieve such constant headaches.

Scary to think that maybe it was the pill the whole time? 😶

    I used Yasmin but I was/am fine.

I took it for about a year or two whilst dating dh, and then again for 3 months after my 2nd kid to try regulate my cycle.

My go regularly checked my blood pressure wen I went to get a new script. But I do generally have low blood pressure so I wonder if that kept me in the safe zone so to speak.
