    That's okay.

I prefer sincere apologies or none at all.

I am a bloody great mother and what you think of me and my mothering skills means dilly squat to me and my kids.

I love my tv, i love watching my favourite shows. it gives me a 30-50 minute escape from my life and immerse myself in something that i will likely never experience (i still hold out hope zombies will take over )

It's not all day, my shows aren't appropriate to have on when the kids are awake. So its how i like to spend my me time, whilst crafting or a lot of the time whilst collapsed on the lounge after a rough blardy day with 2 special needs kids and another getting diagnosed. I'd like to think i deserve to spend my time how i'd like.

    Haters gonna hate

We've got two. One big one in the main lounge and a little one in the living area.

No tv in the bedroom, that room is for sleep and sex only! :P

Back on topic, I guess Its obvious I am wondering about the meaningfulness of television in our lives, and I think it's ok to question this. One has to wonder about its role in obesity, heart disease, cognitive effects (sleep dep, ADHD, etc), decreased social interaction, as well as the ability of corporations to push their agendas onto us through advertising. Some paediatricians, anthropologists, sociologists, psychologists and artists such as the one below have also had similar ideas.

The music piece is 'Television drug of the nation' by the Disposable heroes of hipocracy. Check it out.

Are people who frequent online forums (insinuating they're on their phone or computer often) really taking cheap shots about tv watching????

    Not much difference....

I think we can wonder this about phone and computer use as well.
