Just thought of another one. I would have got braces when the issue came up when I was a teenager. I refused. I wish my parents had of taken the lead and pushed me into it.

What made you so opposed to braces?

I was about 13 or 14 and didn't like the look of them. Silly because the end result would have been fantastic.

I wish I had kept up with my retainer after having braces - my teeth are just as bad now as they were before the braces so it was such a waste for me :-(

I've gone through all the things that I should regret, but I can't really seem to regret many of them at all. They all taught me something or led me to where I am now.

I regret cheating on my exH, because it was a stupid and cowardly way to get out of the relationship. But if I didn't I think I'd still be there now, or he'd never have let me go. Just wish I had of had the balls to leave without doing that.

I definitely do regret three things though:

    1) having unprotected s3x with someone I naively didn't realise was sleeping with EVERYONE, and consequently had an STI for over a year before I knew - and passed it to my DH when I met him.
    2) Not getting braces when I was a teenager. My teeth have gotten so much worse over the years
    3) This one I still regret all the time even though it might sound silly: when I was in the midst of getting divorced we had 2 bearded dragons as pets, I got so caught up in what was going on in my life I didn't dedicate the time to them that I should have. When they passed away one after the other, I couldn't forgive myself because I thought it was probably my fault for not caring for them as well as I had been previously.

Yeah, I regret hurting my animals more than my exH.... that says a lot doesn't it. Not sure if it says more about him or me though!

Believed in myself and more confidence around my teen years instead had low self esteem and poor body image (I wish I had that body now lol) which created a snow ball effect on everything else and decisions made in my teen years

I'm torn between wishing I didn't hook up with DS's Dad, not get involved with drugs and not have fallen pregnant. I feel like having a child hinders meeting Mr Right and therefore allowing me, and DS to have that happy ever after. Than again, DS is the best- my bestie (without the support- just the fun part) so I wouldn't wish him away, just maybe delayed. I feel like if I had a partner, I could give DS a sibling without severely limiting the already straining budget, we could buy a house, travel more and ultimately have less financial stress and more freedom.

Hugs, you tried so hard and I felt bad for you every time you got knocked back. Are you getting decent help now?
