    Default Pregnancy signs

    Good morning all

I am just after some friendly advice on your opinions and experience.

My husband and I have not been actively trying to conceive, I am on the pill however we both know it is not 100%. It is more to keep me regular if anything.

My situation is this, I had a normal period starting 28th August lasting 5 days. I have always been 28 day months. However my next period didn't come until 6 weeks later and only lasted 2 days, it was very short and extremely light which I thought was strange considering the cramping I was getting (could this have been implantation.?) I had a blood test about a week before this short period however as I started on the normal day figured no point getting the result. I am now due for my next period Thursday next week however this week I have been feeling queasy, have extremely sore breasts, very tired and for the last few weeks very crampy. Has anyone else had this happen to them to find they got the BFP on their test the week period was due? Or could this be pre-menstrual?

I want to test but know it may be to early.

It's not too early to test. Use a first response early result test (these are the most sensitive) and try to either use first morning wee or at least do it when you haven't been in a few hrs so it's more concentrated.

Good luck, let us know how you go.

I never got a bfp, even with a first response until 2 days after my due date. Good luck, hope you get the result you are hoping for.

Personally I'd be consulting my doctor about actively trying while on the pill...no birth control is 100% though the pill if taken correctly is pretty close.... I'm not sure why you would be taking pills to stop ovulation if you want to have a baby

i would be speaking to your doctor about this...

also how are you actively trying while you are on the pill? that doesnt make any sense. the pill works by stopping ovulation....

if you are wanting to try for a baby then i would be stopping the pill.

OP says she's not actively trying. Hence her user name of @AlmostTime (I'm guessing she's nearly ready to try...)

I still experience my normal issues on and off the pill, tender b00bs, nausea (usually the day before, which I put down to a surge in hormones), headaches and feeling crampy/ bloated. I also did not receive + tests until 6 weeks. Finally a blood test revealed I was 8 weeks pg.
