Mine don't wear their black school shoes very often. So I get Grosby black shoes (or something similar) from BigW or Target. These then last for the year or until they grow out of them.

The wear jogger most of the time so I go to the DFO and get them on sale. This year DD10 is in Fila and they have lasted all year so far and still look great. DD7 is in Asics (or Adidas) and hers look fine as well.

I used to get their joggers from BigW but they were not lasting. I found that if I paid more and got a good pair they would last until they grew out of them. Going to the DFO it means I get $120 shoes for about $50-$60 so I am more than happy with that.

My primary school kids were going through a pair of shoes every term...just wearing kmart, big w or payless shoes. My teens have to wear Lynx or Clark's leather shoes for highschool and they last the yr....so next yr I'm getting the primary school kids the Clark's leather sports shoes and hopefully they'll last much longer.

Ds is 11 and super hard on shoes and easy gets through a pair a term. Cheapies wouldn't last him even a term. I'm finding nikes best, he has a few pairs now and they've all held up really well. Our school isn't strict on shoes so nikes are allowed.

I buy my kids Lynx black joggers from Williams. They always last the year, even my son who is rough on shoes.

My DD's school is strict on them having formal black leather school shoes.
I brought her air flex ones from betts kids they lasted 2 terms then a pair of lynx and another pair of lynx.
This term she is in a cheapie pair from bigw but the difference is they are lace up rather than maryjane style.

Its always the buckle or velcro that gies on my DD's maryjane style so i think we'll buy lace ups from now on

Adidas ones from Athletes Foot have lasted all year so far. Last year he went through so many pairs. New balance ones don't last!

My kids school is not strict on polished shoes...as long as they're black...so my kids have worn Dunlop Volley's all year and they are just falling apart now. But they were $18 a pair and I bought them in a sale that was 'buy one pair, get the second pair half price' so I'm really happy with that.
They have both just outgrown them, and so they are both in Converse because it's all we could get. We used to buy Airflex and they lasted, but my kids asked to wear the 'cooler' shoes and that was fine by me.
