    Default Ovarian cysts...help please.

Hi all, I went to the gp due to a swollen lower abdomen and slight pain/cramping. They did an ultrasound and found 2 complex cysts on my ovaries, One on each ovary measuring approx 5cm x 4 cm each.

Has anyone concieved with ovarian cysts ? Is it safe too ?
    Should i see a gyno first ?
I am unsure where to go from here, any been in a similar situation.

    Thanks in advance.

i found out i had ovarian cysts in november of 2012. mine were simple cysts (measuring about 4-5cm)....

mine turned out to be cycle related and was my body rejecting the contraception pill i was on at the time... i had scans every 6 weeks to monitor them as they were causing my alot of discomfort and pain...

2 months later i fell pregnant with my dd2. and the cysts disapeared. didnt have any problems with them during my pregnancy or after wards until dd2 turned 18months... when af returned for the first time.

my gp said that my particular cysts werent anythign to worry about and that they would just be treated by monitoring.... but it was soon determined that they were cycle related....

it cant hurt to see a specialist about it and getting the all clear before you start trying...

i also had thyroid problems in my early pregnancy and this monitored with blood tests etc.

good luck! hope this has helped you.

my gp told me that the cysts arent always a hinderance and that they can sometimes make you more fertile. (not sure how that is supposed to work)

i still ovulate while on my pill and only found out because of the cysts....

    good luck with everything!
