Make it so that deadbeats who take advantage of poor women in third world countries to be a surrogate for them, then dump the baby, have to pay child support to whoever is raising that child, until the child turns 18.

A review of the minimum repayment so that deadbeats actually contribute to the raising of their children. The current minimum payment of $7/week is NOT half the cost of raising a child.

Non custodial parents that throw in good paying jobs to do cash work to scr*w over the ex by having no income should be forced to pay a base amount of $20-30 a week in CS. Who lives on zero?? Time for CSA to wise up and not fall onto the 'we can't prove it' excuse.

It should be a one strike and your out policy for payments. If you get behind a second time without having very good reason it's automatic garnish of wages.

Not allowing non custodial parents to deliberately rack up debt like 50k cars in order to demand a re-assessment where they can ask for lower CS bc of 'hardship' and 'debt'. Not sure how that would be policed but it's all hypothetical

Definitely something to tackle the non-payers, like garnishing wages or something, and also a minimum payment, no one should be getting away with paying nothing or $7 etc. Ridiculous.

I don't like the fact that CS goes down when the payer has another baby. My kids don't all of a sudden get cheaper.

I also think CS in general needs to be higher. My ex pays his required amount, but it is such a pittance compared to the kids' actual cost of living.

It should all be collected by csa and no other option. I know so many women who have been bullied into private arrangements which suit the payer nore than the payee, also when the reassessment comes, the payer should be forced to pay their bill, not just go meh she won't make me pay.

It should be paid by centerlink for those parents that don't honour CS.

Then centerlink can get its money back from the defaulting parent. When a government agency wants their money back they find a way.

Bring back expectations like taking responsibility for providing for your family and values such as integrity. Above all else - love...that and a big whip! I feel sorry for the kids...and the parents who are sacrificing so much in order to make up for their ex-partner's selfishness and lack of love for their own offspring.
