Thanks @Socimama don't worry, I'm not going to give up! I'm off to the GP next week to see if she feels comfortable prescribing progesterone, if not, I will get a referral to a fertility specialist.
I saw a distinct ovulation temp shift on my first cycle temping, and started to see the pattern on the second cycle, when we got UTD with DS.

Trying oh so hard not to symptom spot. Only on our first cycle of TTC #2. Would be a fluke if we end up with BFP. Last time took 7 cycles.
For me, AF is due tomorrow or Friday so we're close together. I feel quite awful today, meaning I've either UTD or coming down with some nasty daycare bug.

You've got through one day without AF showing up. Fingers crossed for nine more months!

@MadSci I hope it goes smoothly. I've noticed some GPs get weird about women who take control of their fertility and ask for things directly. It's a bit silly really.

Thanks for the chart, it's good to see that you can already see a spike in the first month. I'm getting excited now!

If you don't mind me asking, how do you know you need progrsterone?

Excuse the spelling error, bubhub won't let me spell that word correctly!

My fs said that unless you have a weak corpus luteum (the bit that holds the pregnancy to the wall of your uterus) you don't need it, most of the time you will only know this if you have had recurrent miscarriages. There are no definitive studies that say progesterone helps a normal pregnancy but people who have had more than one mc have shown a positive response to taking it.. Iykwim

Fingers crossed for BFPs for those coming up to the end of the TWW, and "go go go" to those at the O stage!!!

I'm CD14, another neg opk but ewcm so think things might happen soon. Hubby away till Friday, so if I can jump on him as soon as he flies in, maybe just maybe there's a glimmer of hope?

@Sally1981 and @tazz475 In answer to your question, I have worked at a fertility clinic in a previous life and have a better than basic understanding (possibly more than some gp's) of women's fertility.
I also had bloods done this cycle which show that my progesterone is increased enough at 4dpo to indicate that ovulation has occurred, but then drops off very steeply by 7dpo (which most people call CD21 test, but for me was CD26) which is why my LP is only 7 days long.
I've also spoken to my friends that are still working at the clinic, and they have agreed with this, but have also suggested that I may need a medicated pre ovulation to increase the quality of my egg (therefore increasing the corpus luteum quality) which can also increase progesterone.
tazz, your fs is right in the fact that they normally don't even test for progesterone deficiency unless there is a history of mc's, so there isn't much research into it for someone who hasn't even managed to get an embryo to implant because their LP is shorter than the time needed to implant.
Sigh. Would it be better to be oblivious to the problems, I don't know?

Just a quick question - do you guys ever get sore boobs from ovulation til your period? I only got my cycles back last month (after three years without them for various reasons) but my boobs seem really sore this month and I'm very tired.. Good luck to everyone testing soon xx

Yup! So annoying, they're sore half the month. Usually peaks a few days before AF then backs off a day before...then comes back for AF. I even have certain bras I have to wear at certain times because they fit me better with all the swelling.
