Ok all you ladies that use OPKs, I need some advice.
Now I know you are supposed to stop doing OPK's as soon as you get your first +ve! but it can't help myself.
I got my first +ve on Sunday arvo, DTD on Sunday night. Got another +ve on Monday arvo, DTD that night too. Today (Tuesday) I got a -ve. In fact there was hardly any test line at all. Is it possible I didn't O and just had a surge that didn't eventuate to anything?
I don't think either DH or I want to DTD again tonight.

Are you supposed to stop testing after the first positive? That sounds strange because I thought you O within 12-36 hours after the end of the surge. I had positive OPKs for 3 or 4 days (4th was borderline). I expect that I O'd therefore on the 4th or 5th day. I think your results are great and show that the luteal surge successfully matured and spat out the egg. You dtd both days so I reckon you've done everything you can.

    Fingers crossed!

I don't know why you should stop opks after the first positive.

@Sally1981 & @MrsTugs I can't remember if I read it in the instructions, but i have definitely read people saying it on BH and elsewhere online.
Im not sure if the reason is to not waste the OPKs or so you don't get confused, but I used the clear blue digital, so a positive is a positive and a negative is a negative. Maybe @tazz475 will know the answer?
Well, I will just hope for a temp rise tomorrow and there are some spermies up there waiting.

@tazz475 I 100% understand you with the comparisons thing, my DP also has an ex-wife so I get it aaaall the time and nothing ticks me off more. I know he doesn't do it maliciously but I totally get how much it sucks!! Big hugs.

@MadSci a lot of the ladies on here don't keep testing because they don't want to waste their opks.
Once you get a + it's most likely that you will ovulate within 48 hours unless your body gears up to and stops for some reason.
I get false +'s too so I go by bbt and opks and stop once my temp rises after my + opk. Iykwim

Meanwhile I'm 5 dpo and feeling sick. No doubt I'm manufacturing symptoms or catching some horrifying day care bug again. At least I can hope though. I actually find the TWW less stressful than the first trimester. At least in the TWW im not freaking out every time I go to the toilet thinking there'll be blood.
