    Default false positive?

My period came 5 days late (most likely stress and fatigue) on day 7 Hubby and I had intercourse and the next day I started to test for ovulation as I wanted to chart it. To my surprise I was very positive for LH the next day I tested again and i it showed less and less of the purple LH lines on the test.

about a week later I had a bad day, nausea, fatigue, I slept all day. I took at pregnancy test and it was positive! Only a very faint positive tho. I tested again the next day expecting a darker positive but instead it was negative, I test 3 more times that day and again the day after, again today and all negative.

I have absolutely no pregnancy symptoms.

Hubby recons that maybe there was fertilization but there was no lining for egg to stick too so it didnt work. Also being so early in the cycle maybe the proper hormones did not kick in to keep the embryo.

Has this happened to anyone before??. I still have my faint positive test and it's defiantly not my imagination.
