    Default What's wrong with me

My head feels like it's going to explode. When I bend down to pick up toys off the floor the pressure in my head is excruciating.

I have as lightly runny nose but my nose is not blocked. I don't 'feel' like I have a sinus problem.

    My ears don't hurt.

    I feel like crap.

    Help!

Sinus, allergies??? No idea. Anyone there who could guess?

Don't want to go to dr right now with 3 crazy boys. So can't go till tonight.

I had similar symptoms a few days ago, turned out to be a nasty virus, with high temps, vomiting and generally unwell. Im on day 4 now and finally rid of temps and vomiting.

Hay fever! Maybe go to the chemist and get some tablets, if no relief get it checked out by a doctor.

Can I take clarytine when breast feeding?

I'm sure I took it when pregnant last year...

I took polaramine (?) when breastfeeding last year when my hayfever was really bad (but it can make you drowsy so I only took it at night) and also took one made with loratadine (can't remember what is was called) but ask the pharmacist which one is best while breastfeeding.

I think antihistamines can decrease milk supply - but best check with a pharmacist.

From memory there is one allergy medication you can take whilst breastfeeding, the pharmacist would know which one. I would go to the doctor though because it still might be a sinus infection. Is the pain in the front of you head/forehead area?

Check with your pharmacist - I think polaramine can affect supply, but loratadine (claratyne) is ok. It probably is your sinuses from the sounds of it - can be caused by virus or allergies. You can have a sinus infection without feeling like your nose is blocked, the feeling of pressure when you bend down is the giveaway! If it is sinuses try a steroid nasal spray like nasonex or flixonase. Again check with your pharmacist they will be able to tell you what is safe while BF.
