I didn't consent until 16 days overdue. 5 days is not long at all! Except if you have a medical reason for inducing of course. With my second I didn't consent and she came on her own at 12 days overdue. Sometimes they just want to bake for longer!

I was induced at 6 days over with DS1 due to low amniotic fluid. They said it had to be that afternoon and so I agreed to it.

I think they had my due date wrong so he wasn't really 6 days over but either way I didn't have enough fluid.

With DS I was induced at 40+3 due to a serious case of being well and truly over being pregnant.

There was no question about my dates (IVF) and he was already over 4kg so I'm glad we induced. It was an amazing birth, I was calm and able to enjoy the delivery. Way better than my spontaneous labour with DD!

19 days. Not my choice but the patronising doctors who didn't think I knew what I was talking about. DS would have been dead that night.
Found out with #4 due to a blood clotting disorder I should never have been left that long.

I was booked in to be induced at 12 days over because fluid levels were dropping. Dd ended up being born naturally 2 hours before her scheduled induction. I think the threat was enough.

Ok, cool. Still think 40+10 is a bit early though!! If like me you usually go longer!

40+ 6. Delivered on a Friday. our hospital has a 10 day over due policy so I would have had to be induced the Tuesday anyway ( plus placenta had calcium deposits)
