Default Do u order kids meals at restaurants?

Just had to show you what DS had for lunch today at a New Mexican restaurant- the kids menu was amazing - these were the kids make your own chicken tacos with avocado ( that you mash yourself in a mini mortar and pestle !) cucumber, tomato, marinated chicken pieces and lime Mayo!

We usually order an extra side for dd18mths. If we are out for breaky I will get poached eggs on toast with avo and order an extra egg. She will have the second egg and a little of my toast etc also.

Ds8 will order his own meal off the menu, regular size. When he was younger we would ask for an entree size portion or order an entree tasting plate for him.

The only places we go with DD for dinner is pubs or Chinese restaurant. I wouldn't bother taking her anywhere else at her age, she would be bored and it wouldn't be enjoyable for us. I do order her a kids meal, usually chicken nuggets and chips. She eats it up happily and we get to enjoy our meal. I know it isn't good for her but we only go a few times a year and honestly I don't really think it's doing her any harm. She will pick at our plates too.

When ds was first eating if just give him bits of mine, he's a big eater so from around 10 months he's been getting his own plus will usually finish his sisters off and steal some of mine hahah but I don't think it's stingey if it's going with the babies appetite

We let the kids decide and sometimes they will order nuggets and chips. It used to bother me but DH reminded me they eat wholesome, vegetable ridden meals made from scratch 99% of the time.
