I've just called DH and he is beyond disgusted. He said "this is the week my parents have died".
So many hugs to you and your dh.

    Your so right.

Oh god it just gets worse. I took from your mil comments that there maybe pictures of your kids? Or just that he shouldn't have been around them? I feel so happy that your mil has made if a whole lot easier for you to implicate her and cut her out. She is not innocent in any of this. She's on the wrong side if the fence on this one.

I feel terrified that FIL is going to turn up at my house. I know it's irrational but I just feel like I don't know what to expect anymore. I have a friend here with me.

I have been reading along and not had any advice for you so have not posted.

I am so sorry you and your family are going through this. Neither you FIL or MIL seem to have any understanding of the gravity of the situation!

If you are worried enough about FIL turning up maybe you could call the non-emergency phone number for the police and ask their advice. They may be able to help, or at least tell you your options. I am glad that you have a friend with you.

I guess it could be either or both of those things! We'll know soon enough. Yeah it's actually a relief to have had the decision made even easier.

Far out. I'm devastated for you, DH and your babies.

Your FIL deserves to go to jail. How dare your MIL put that on you. She needs to be charged for her actions or lack there of.

As for your SIL, if she wants to believe her father's bullsh*t, that's her problem. You can't worry about that at the moment. I have to say though, does she not want to read the article because perhaps she was abused by him and it's too raw?? That crossed my mind. And if so, does MIL know this.

Anyway, you're doing a fantastic job protecting your little family and supporting your DH. I'm glad you have a friend with you, I hope you're taking the time to look after yourself also.

I hope your SD is recovering well. Hugs to you all. x

I have no words for your in laws, both of them.
I admire both yourself and your husband, you are managing this so well.
I truly hope he gets what he deserves.

    Mate, what a creep!

The sooner you go, the worse it will look for him. It will look as though he doesn't give a stuff about the court and that he is highly likely to reoffend because he thinks that he is above the law. From your MILs words, he must be on the sx offender registry now (see if you can find out how long he will he on it for) plus a suspended sentence.

I hope that he gets hauled back before the same magistrate that sentenced him. Now that would be a court day well worth being a fly on the wall for! That is when they tend to go "Judge Judy" and really let rip.

If you really want to get your point across with your inlaws, (after you've been to police) there is always old Hinch or ACA or TT... Imagine him scurrying from a camera like the rat that he is....

    Stay strong!
