I tested this morning at 13dpo & got a BFN. 😢😢😢 Just waiting for AF to come now. Onto cycle 11 for us. 😩

In some good news though we put an offer in on a house & it has been accepted today! 🎉🎉🎉 Subject to sale of our current house of course but we're a little excited! Looks like I'm moving back to the hills @HillDweller! I could be @HillDweller2! Lol! 😂

Well we're all in the teeth clenching boat! I went to the dentist for the first time in 15 years the other day... My teeth are very crowded and I knew my gums weren't in good shape - something I knew I should get sorted out before getting pregnant but haven't gotten around (been brave enough) to doing it. On the plus side, I have not one bit of decay in my whole mouth! Yay! On the negative side I have gum disease which has eroded some of my bone, I've been clenching my jaw at night and I need to get 2 wisdom teeth taken out. So I'm doing all that in 2 weeks time! The dentist wants to give me a splint to stop the clenching but I want to figure out what's causing me to do it and work on that!

@poochella sorry yours has been so bad you're needing to take pain killers, that really sucks! I don't know about pain killers and fertility, I haven't heard anything about that.

@Shrillian good luck with your acupuncture, hope it does you some good Maybe they can help with some stress relief for your jaw clenching too?

@McBecks so sorry about the BFN but yay on the house!! That is so exciting! We are going to be hilldwellers together!

AFM I've got my next appt with the FS tomorrow. We've decided I'm going to tell him we're just going to keep trying naturally for a little while longer. Give ourselves another 3 months to get DH's swimmers in a better place and my thyroid and PCOS as good as they can be.

My naturopath gave me something called Femmplex to start trying to shorten my cycle. Started taking it at the beginning of this cycle and I'm on day 15 having signs of impending O so hoping it might only be a few days away, which would be early for me! DH won't be home for it this time, but that's ok, hopefully we'll be able to try next month

@McBecks, Sorry to hear about the BFN. Maybe Santa will bring you a special present on Cycle 12. Glad to hear about the house, change is as good as a holiday they say.

@HillDweller, & @Shrillian, I have started to take vit b complex which seems to be helping with the clenching a little.

Haha, I forgot to say that I'm a teeth clencher from way back too! I have a mouth guard/splint thing that I'm supposed to wear at night to stop the clenching but I don't anymore as I find it more annoying that having a headache. It makes my teeth feel out of place, it's weird.

But @poochella I think you can take that kind of Ibuprofen levels whilst TTC & not worry too much. I think it's only once your preg you need to watch it. But 2 a day isn't a a lot anyway. 😊

AF showed her ugly head over night so I'm cd1 today. Which means I'll be testing just before Christmas so it's nice to think we could be sharing some really great news Christmas Day with fam. Or if not then at least I can have a very "merry" Christmas & not feel too bad about it! 😄

    Hey all!

It has been quiet in here and I haven't been on much either. Had lots going on.

Sorry @poochella bout your sucky news and long wait, you only just came off the pill right? Maybe look at it as a bit of time to let your body get back to normal and all ready to try in feb.

Sorry bout your BFN @McBecks but hope all goes well with the house.
@Shrillian hope your few months off is good for you and achieve what you want/need to, to be in a better place for the next round.
@HillDweller sucks about your DH SA my DH's isn't great either. Hope the natural stuff help.

Now as for me I'm CD21, 9DPO. But I'm starting to give up hope. I think I'm actually mentally preparing myself to move on from all this 😥.

Oh @Lizard I'm so sorry to hear that, I hope your miracle is just around the corner

We're hoping the natural stuff works for DH's swimmers too - we suspect his lifestyle due to work (shift work, long working hours, not much sleep, working with solvents etc 14 days in a row) is not doing him any favours. He's only 26 so we weren't expecting his results to be too bad. He's applied for some jobs with shorter rosters and even some back locally, so we've got everything crossed he gets one of those.

I had my next FS appt today. I found him much better this time. I think he'd gotten the message from my emails that I'm the type that likes to be involved in my health decisions. He'd like me to try Metformin for my PCOS, I'm thinking about giving it a try - after I do some research to make sure it's not going to cause me too many issues with my Hashimoto's. Other than that, he said he agreed it was best for us to keep trying while getting ourselves on track and DH's swimmers improving, then to come back and see him in 3 months to see where we are.

From all of your post I only focused on the fact that you've got a 26yr old DH @HillDweller! You little cougar, you! 😉😂😂 Glad to hear you're feeling more confident with your FS. Fx'd he can help get your BFP soon!

I'm sorry to hear you're having a tough time @Lizard. TTC can be such an emotional roller coaster. Sending you big hugs & support. xx
@Shrillian I hope the rest over Xmas gets you guys nice & ready for a quick BFP in the new year!

DH & I were thinking of trying SMEP this month. Have any of you guys given it a go before? I don't want it to be too regimented but it seems like that's the point? 😕

LOL! The funniest part is, I'm pretty sure he's the most mature one in our relationship, but we have so much in common. For instance, he likes to do gardening, and I like to drink a cocktail and watch him do gardening

    PS: What's SMEP?

Lol! 😂 See now I'm imaging a Desperate Housewives scenario with Gabby & her gardener! Is this your DH?

SMEP is Sperm Meets Egg Plan. Google it. When I first heard it mentioned on BH I was like 'duh- isn't that what everyone wants?'! But there's a whole timing rationale to it or something. Some people swear it works for them.

I might try it this month. 😊
