I'll second frenchy81 "be prepared" motto. I realised I hadnt shared my birth story! Gen is my first pregnancy and I began contracting 8am regularly ( woke 3am with one solo contraction) did some washing had breakfast msgd hubby that today was the day. By 10am they were 3-5min with no breaks a friend arrived for coffee and called hubby to come home. He called the hospital and threw a few things in a bag for himself packed the car, my waters broke as I got in the car, we drove to hospital at about 11:15 I had 3 contractions on the 10 min ride in and when they finally checked me at hospital at 1140 I was 10cm and baby was about to be born. 25min pushing and helped by a vacuum due to low heartbeat and she was out! My ob couldnt make it cos she was too quick so his colleague ( who I knew) delivered her. I was in shock I'd been anticipating this long labour and got a super short one, not even time for pain relief! In hindsight I'm glad it was quick because I had wanted to try a drug free delivery and I definitely would have had an epidural if I wasnt so far along when I arrived!

Soooo over being useless and clumsy, second major fall for this week, thankfully not on my belly this time, major scrape on my knee joins the many many bruises from my other run ins with the floor (perfect timing with my photo maternity shoot this weekend)

DH has now made it very clear that I am to do nothing until he is born, no more housework, working on my projects or walking the dogs unsupervised. So scared to do anything without hurting him or worse.

    Sorry all rant over.

Huge congrats @frenchy81, your little one is gorgeous.

Wishnhope sorry for your falls n clumsiness, glad this one was on your knees, even though I'm sure it hurt.

I think we must be related.
I've spent the weekend in hospital after falling and landing on my wooden floor on my side/baby belly.
After lots of monitoring, prodding and poking baby is totally fine, I have 2 broken ribs.
Like you my hubby has decided I am a danger to myself and bubs.

Hope everyone is doing well and can't wait to see more beautiful little bubbas

@rainbow brite so glad you and bubs are ok! So scary falling isnt it!? And two broken ribs you clearly did a good job of falling!
My poor belly has had some many "minor" traumas I'm almost certain I have done him some sort of damage even though the docs say he is fine.

My sister chucked a footy into my belly recently. It bounced off, but it really does get in the way of everything!

@frenchy81 congrats!! We are in here together 😄

I came in to the hospital yesterday at 2.30pm for an assessment as I was having less fetal movements and cramping. I was on the ctg for 45mins and they said everything was fine, go home, relax. So I tried.. I couldn't sit down in one spot for long, cramps were soo bad. It got to 12am and I called delivery suite to see if they could help. They said to try heat packs and hot showers to ease the pain. I ended up sitting on the couch trying to get sleep, by this stage id had none.
At 2.20am I went to the bathroom and my waters broke. Called the delivery suite and came straight in. Mw assessed me and I was 4cms, had epidural put in. Assessed again at 4am and I was 8cms. Dr came in around 9am and Cooper was born at 9.52am!!

We're so excited and in love with him!ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1412582739.848370.jpg
