I get a little bit of time in the evenings once dh has eventually managed to get ds to go to sleep. I get a bit of time on weekends too. Its hard when he wont finish his feeds though & wont take a bottle cause I cant just leave him with dh & go out. We are going to start teaching him to take a bottle so hopefully that will help

At least you can get some time to 'refresh' that's always important no matter the age of your kids.
Have you tried using different teats for your bottles? We had to try a different few with dd.
Ds is also being really fussy with his feeds, cutting them short or looking around, Im sure he is going to rip my nipple off one day!

Hang in there, you are doing a great job sadly no one really tells us how hard being a mum can be

What tips did the sleep consultant give you?

It can take up to a week for a new routine to 'gel' with bubs.... Please don't give up yet, you may regret it.

The status quo will not change unless you change something.

    Xx

Keep being consistent with whatever the sleep consult recommended or a method that has worked. It took 10 days for my DD to get it.

Im trying to persevere but he just screams so much he chokes on his saliva, which really freaks me out (& thats when im holding him, we dont do controlled crying).

I had no luck for the rest of yesterday & this morning he slept for 20 minutes then woke up & wouldnt resettle. So currently im trying to get him to sleep in his rocker in the living room. I dont want that to become a habit cause he is almost too long for the rocker& I cant find anything longer, so then I have no idea what I will do when he outgrows it, probably in a few weeks

All the swings ive seen are shorter than the rocker we have, I dont think he'll fit, he's tall.

I do push him round in the pram but it often doesnt work.

Id recommend one of the fisher price rocker/bouncers.. they are suprisingly a good size.. my kids were not small either but I got good use out of it. It is the one that has the vibration feature.. and has a toy bar above it. I think big w sell them or toys r us and bubs baby shop. The kids liked the vibration motion it gave them.

Do you put a large muslin cloth over the pram when you do? I find that's the trick to putting my son to sleep in the pram. If he can see and look around he won't sleep. I pull the top over and drape a cloth or blanket so it's dark as possible and no stimulus.

He's in a fisher price rocker & his head is at the top when its reclined & if he gets any longer his feet will hang over the end. I cant seem to find anything that is longer
