    Default Open colleges scam

Does anyone know how to report a business for ripping people off? I recently got pressured into enrolling in a very expensive course online through open colleges by the telemarketer posing as a course administrator. I contacted them and asked to withdraw my enrolment in the 7 day cooling off period and never heard back. Now they are deducting hefty fees from my bank account through debt success. I am beyond mad and really need help trying to stop them from charging me over $8000 for the course ocean no longer study. I am a single mum working part time to support my family now I can't believe the nerve of this company.

I have also asked them to consider waving the course fees under compassionate grounds due to the fact I genuinely believed I had requested my enrolment to be withdrawn in the timeframe. Now they say they never recieved the email yet confirm the conversation is recorded asking to withdraw the application. I haven't started the course but they won't wen budge. Please help should I seek legal advice or report to fair trading or customer relations some how? I can't be forced to pay the entire course fees this will literally ruin my life and not mention the emotional stress they have put me under.

I think you can ask your bank to stop direct debits from them while you try to sort it out properly.
