Huh? Are you saying you can't expect kids to go shoeless inside the house or am I Mis-interpreting?

Well at the start I wasn't sure if I was being paranoid so I wanted to hear everyone's thoughts. Now I'm sure I want a no shoes house I think I will look like a di@k if I say on day 3 of a visit "hey take your shoes off." Left my run too late... So will wait until the next visit..

Sorry if this has already been asked...but, do you have special 'poo room shoes' for when you use your own toilet? -- or do you go in there barefoot too?

Good point. And I'm also assuming that no one has a toilet in their bathroom either.

yes I guess I am! I always have kids running through my house and can't imagine adding 'shoes off inside' to the chaos! They are inside, outside, inside, outside, inside, outside 1 million times!

If I go to a house and there are shoes at the door I always ask if I need to take my shoes off. If I've been going there for a while and I know the deal I skyways kick them off before entering.

It's rude not to in my opinion.

Must run a different type of house (which is ok!). I can't stand the door being opened, closed, slammed etc... Go outside, stay of and have a good long play. And take your shoes off when you come back inside...

For the 'shoes off' people....what hapoens if your neighbour knocks on your door and they have no shoes on? Do you let them in knowing their feet has walked across two yards barefoot? Just curious because this is me...I visit all of my neighbours barefoot. It doesn't occur to me to put shoes on to walk to a nearby house.
