DD2 was 38weeks- stopped growing and didn't want to put her in distress by induction (DD1 was a 3 day induction).
DD3 & DD4 were both in the 36th week. (High blood pressure so we just needed to make it to the 36th week)
None had any problem with breathing and stayed with me straight away. (DD3 had some issues but that wasn't due to an earlier c/s)

From what I've been told is elective c-section are done after 39 weeks unless there are complications then they will do them earlier.

    38 +5 for a supposedly big breech.
She ended up only being 3.4kg
If I were to do it again, I'd probably have left her in a bit longer.

My hospital does them from 39 weeks unless it is medically necessary to be earlier.

DD was at 36+6 emergency c-section after waters breaking, and if I had another baby OB says despite being high risk if I went into labour they wouldn't do the repeat c-section before 39 weeks, I would just have to rush to hosp if I went into labour earlier.
