Hi everyone..! I really hope you don't mind me joining this thread.. I am currently seeing Dr Ong on the Gold Coast but a friend of mine told me about this place...
I've been trying for a baby for 8 years and have had four miscarriages.. I have pcos and have it suggested to me, to see a naturopath in the new year...
I've been told these guys are really good... Just wanting some info on prices and procedures etc...

Thanks Hun.. I'm hearing a few stories like that - I've been to Ong twice now and I've absolutely loved him.. But to be honest it's the cost of ivf that's scaring me..! He wants me to do a cycle and freeze eggs as I go, which is fine but the money side of things is just plain ridiculous.. 😢

    Yep

We just had 16 eggs and one very poor poor embryo get to transfer

And hinted very strongly he would refund us (somethings I know he has done for others)

And turns around and wipes his hands and belittles me, about questioning him on the next step

He was nice about it, but it was a kick in the teeth.

That's really sad to hear Hun 😞 that's so unfair to make u feel that way on what is already an emotional roller coaster ride..!

I have been thinking about going to see the other guys but I'm just nervous.... Dr Ong put me on metformin which has really helped my body.. I was once getting no periods for months on end (once went 12 months), now on metformin I get them on a slightly more regular basis... So that was a positive for me...

Velvet has anyone given you an explanation on your recurrent mc? There is actually a clinic at the RBWH (a bit far I know) that deals only with recurrent mc. You can only be referred to them if you have had more than 3 mc so you would fit the criteria.

I'm not sure what everyone has been told, but my four miscarriages were put down to "unfortunate things that happen".. I have had tests and apart from extensive internal examinations, everything has come back fine.. I know I have severe pcos.. But the strange thing is, all of my miscarriages were around 6.5-7 week stage... 😖😢💔

    Have you had immune testing?

(Read the natural killer thread on this forum) very very informative about immune issues (including misscarriage)

I would be inclined to read that thread.... Night give you some different insight with repeated Ivf failure

And I know dr ONG doesn't test everything he can (compared to an immune specialist)
