I think if you get too worked up you make it worse than it actually is. Just try to stay relaxed, keep a positive mindset and focus on sucking the gas
    Thanks mumsical ☺️

No don't freak out. Like I said, the key is to use the gas properly. I know now that that is where I have gone wrong in the past.

I second what mumsical says.. it 'stings'. Totally bearable. You need to focus on your breathing, suck deeply on the happy gas. Too much can make you queasy however.
They allow you to practice before the first egg is collected. I am very involved in the whole process & have to be reminded to breath/suck on the entonox.
I'd do it a thousand times over before opting for a general, it's really not that bad.
Didn't one of you mention that life fertility give local anaesthetic?? Not sure I'd be keen on that 😣. Had a biopsy done many years ago involving local anaesthetic to my bits.. happy gas & panadeine forte all the way.

Do they use entonox aswell michelle? Surely if you request panadeine forte &/Valium they would prescribe it? Could always just get a script from GP, take them prior to going for treatment and simply ask them not to use local. I'm alright with needles.. just not anywhere near my vagina 😬

I'm only going to manage one FET cycle this year now, if I'm lucky. So annoying cos if it doesn't take.. I have to pay full cost again next year as I won't have reached the safety net 😤
I've wrote it off before it's even began. Not feeling very fertile!

Thats why im thinking of just going straight with this clinic as they will freeze all and I dont have to continue to pump myself with drugs of fresh cycles but also not have oop costs of tfc with frozen. I want to spend my money on fun family things not all on ivf. Catch 22 I just want it all

Of course you can! We wouldn't go back time and time again if it really was that bad.
