So sorry to hear that Meshell
She's 16months now. No major tanties yet. I may have a cr@p sleeper but I'm blessed with a very chilled out but often wild child. She loves being soaked in water apparently, because she's always tryna swim in the dogs water bowl. And anything that drops on the floor is fair game for the dog who she loves to bits and thinks he's hilarious when he comes to lick it all up. Meltdowns occur when she isn't allowed to play with the toilet brush and bin *gag*. I ask daycare as well because I don't want to encourage bad habits that they have to deal with. She had a tanty there once because another child grabbed a toy she was playing with half an hour earlier. They asked how I dealt with it, huh? She'd never done it but there is no way I would tolerate it or give in to her.
Kindy is between daycare and prep, with prep essentially being the first year of school. In nsw it's just year one (like in nz). I've heard getting a kindy spot can be quite difficult. Lex won't be going to daycare once I've got another one at home. I'll have to be a big girl and join a playgroup **shudder**
Get this, if we move back to NZ, childcare would only cost $5/week. Big incentive right there.
Thanks kitty x
I'm so freakin bloated. I look like a puffer fish!
Is kindy free?
Life is always busy isn't it I have a full time job plus a little side business, 2 kids, 2 fur babies and my husband works away all the time plus the usual sport swimming lessons, shopping, play dates etc etc etc. But gotta pay the mortgage....and those crazy daycare fees
