I change my mind on a daily basis when on this crazy ride. A week ago I was dead set against risking twins.. and now I'm like, yeah, happy days. I'm not right in the coconut.. but at least I'm not influenced by PMS 😉
    So today's decision is superior!

Melissa has twins so I just quizzed her and was like alright off the record what is a twin pregnancy like how was the whole process blah blah. Though she said it was feral having two babies at once she said it was fine lol. I think woild I prefer no more babies or two mpre babies I would go with two any day of the week.

I just replied before and my comment went AWOL. Hope it never made it onto another forum thread
im on the iPad, phone battery is dead.

its the doctor that you need to ultimately convince. If you get '2' on the consent form from the get go, your in with a fighting chance.
I wanted 3 kids, if I was younger (and could afford it) I would even say 4. As it happens, I will be lucky if I get to have one more. Therefore I'd be pretty chuffed by twins. My family would be complete, no doubt about it. High risk pregnancy etc, I'm an emergency nurse, I get it.
If this next cycle fails.. and I'm left with 2 embies.. Putting 1 back is going to be tough on me.. even if it takes. I will be left with 1 and I don't think I could discard it, but at the same time it would be at least 18months before I could even consider using it. By then I'd be approaching 38, and again there's no guarantees.. the cost of storing a embryo.. not sure I can justify it. Not worth the angst tbh. They should just put both back.

Didnt realise Melissa had twins, I know Sara does. Wonder if they have infertility issues? Not really any of my business but would make sense for them to work in that environment having gone through it themselves.

Another thing.. how do I remove my signature???

Between us melissa said she had a little clomid I think she was a little older and it was a second marriage? The first time the nurses changed my consent to say 2 I wanted 4 as well then changed to 3 now id be happy with two. But I think I would like another when mason and second child start school so I can go back to appreciating new born snuggles. Lou's grand daughter is an ivf baby I know that much. When the clinic first opened they were quite willy nilly about transferring two and there were sooo many twins born. I think they had to pull in the reigns a little.
One of my customers had two embies put back by ben kroon at qfg anf they ended up with triplet boys lol. He has aged dramatically in the last 12 months lol. What hospital are you at?

7:30 Meshell. I'll be in a hurry to get into work in the city but I will definitely keep an eye out. I know a few twin mamas. Two had no complications and delivered at 35wks, one just had hers at 26wks :-/ and two of my cousins had natural births at full term. A friend from work is going to nz this weekend to be there when her sister has her second pair (both conceived naturally!!) next week at 36wks, one is not growing. Working at the Mater I see plenty of neonates and the stories I hear are heart wrenching, it's not always a happy ending.

I know, no one talks about all the little ones born early or with birth defects, not to mention the many miscarriages. It's kinda irresponsible of me to even consider that risk given the healthy Bub I am blessed with, but..
    I'm at RBWH.
