I can't believe we've waffled so much (about nothing really) that we needed a second thread

    I agree.

I thought the same, and same with Laurina (though a very different vibe) - Laurina Fleur! How is that her real name?!

Why would they not use their own homes?

    Maybe they're worried about appearances?

I'd say there's a lot of 'filming considerations' at play. For example, I think my house would film horribly and they wouldn't be able to get the shot of everyone sitting around the dinner table due to the space... Same reason they hire houses on MKR.

    This.

I have five siblings and it would just be an absolute mad house all crammed into the parentals home with the paraphernalia around that comes with years of having a family. Then when you throw a camera crew in there and every other persons involved in filming...no way.

Did anyone else notice at Sam's sister's house (or maybe her "sister's house") there was a whole bunch of attempted marketing stuff around, all matching, like the stubby holders? Unless her sister and her DH have their own personalised stuff...

Worried about appearances? Yeah I'd be to if they were to go to my parents house haha no but what I mean is why go over the top with such an extravagant house??? I mean use an aunties, use a friends? Meet at a resteraunt? Why hire a place like that and say welcome to my home when it's not and its no where near a representation of you? I'm just confused
