You shouldn't RF over the marker, it's normal to sit lower in FF mode due to the angle. what seat is she in? You've done well getting to 2!

i tried that.. even worse. she tries to grab it and play with it. I even have a minivan and put ds in the very back row so she can see him. that doesn't work either.

I spoke WAAAYYY too soon about her weight. I weighed her ages ago and she was 10 kg.. on a different scale.
I just popped her on the scale and she is only 9 ;(
she is long, so thats why i thought she would weigh more. crap. i really don't want to forward face her!!!!!

But, it does go by size and it sounds like your child is almost at that height level to change over. Why don't you call the company that made your car seat and see what they recommend? RF is safest but eventually they have to face forward.

    Otherwise, ear plugs?
mum keeps saying 'you should turn her around.. she hates being RF'
I get that, but i also know that its safer! I'm so torn!!!!

Turning wont necessarily make her like the car either, my DS3 still hates the car (loudly!) Despite being forward facing now.

Honestly I would turn the seat and hope it makes a difference. My dd is tiny. .. And maybe just on 10kgs at 20 months ish. .. With long legs and short body. I tried her in loads of seats and got one she's borderline in. When RF her shoulders are above line. . Just. .. When FF she's under the line so it's weird.
BUT. .. She was squirming to see. . Crying out etc. And that just stressed me out driving. Now she's FF she's happier and I'm less stressed driving.
    Good luck.
